MC is a pathetic loser. At first, he had his optimistic attitude and that determination to help Emilia and others as a redeeming feature, but by the time you reach ep 13, he completely becomes wimpy and selfish and depressingly embarrassing. A torture to watch. People say he is realistic, but it isn't a realistic reaction to act shamelessly and barge in on a kingdom-level event held at the castle, much less disrupt it by suddenly announcing yourself a knight and insulting all those decision makers who could kill them, imprison them, or ruin their lives.
