It is a great anime and I really enjoyed it while watching. It is a thriller series and really love thriller.
Coming to the anime, the animation was “good”. It wasn't something very extraordinary, but still, the quality was descent.
The soundtracks, basically next to you was so good, you cannot deny the fact that you also might have used it as your ringtone. The other soundtracks were also “good” but Next To You is my favorite from the anime “Parasyte”.
I watched it in English sub. The Japanese artists really have done a great job. Respect.
Story. The story of the anime is superb according to me. Though

there are some loopholes, we'll talk about it too.
1.) The character of Shinichi was a realistic one for me. He suffers a lot in the anime, and I completely empathize with him. His confusion about the parasites, he trying to fix his arm, searching about it on the internet, it was all so relatable for me.
The character of migi was an adorable one for me, I don't know why. He is a very smart guy and a keen observer, which I really like about him. The relationship between migi and Shinichi was the thing which I enjoyed a lot, and it was interesting to watch their friendship grow.
The character of Murano was quite a bit confusing for me, I think that she was herself confused about her thoughts. The other characters were just used for the sake of the progress of the story, they had no past of themselves, and had no reason for doing what they were doing. I think the supporting characters like his mom and dad, the stalker girl could have been explored more. I would have loved to watch it. But, I am satisfied with the section of the parasites. I had no curiosity for them, the leader was the one in which I was interested, it is really an impressive character.
2.) The story tells us about how some parasites want to capture the earth and want to rule over it. So, what do they do. They just kill the species which is currently dominating the whole earth. If any species want to dominate the planet, then a culling is needed. Now, it might sound that the parasites are evil, but , they are actually doing what we humans are doing.
(It might sound dark to you, but read the complete thing.)
What do we humans do, we kill other animals for our own benefits. We kill the animals for meat, beef etc., we take the eggs from the hens, basically we take their children away. We cut the trees and take away the habitat of other animals. We do all of this for own benefit. So, according to my interpretation the writer wants to say, that actually we humans are the parasites for this planet, and these alien parasites have come to cleanse the earth. This was the message which the writer wants to give, according to my interpretation.
We know, all of this is the part of a cycle, if we won't eat meat the population of other animals will be off the bars. Like if the lions won't eat the deer, the population of the deers would explode and there will be an imbalance in the Eco-system.
All of this is just a natural process and we are the ones who cause it, but the writer wants to show how cruel and dark this might be, if we were the ones who were facing the consequences.
I will strongly recommend you to watch, dub or sub depends on you. I will rate this anime 7.5/10.
There are many scenes where you might get emotional and also where you might get disturbed with all the blood spilled around. Be ready!
