Shokugeki no Souma is about food and Skip Beat! is about show business yet both main characters are confident in who they are. The characters believe in themselves and strive to get to the top and are hard-working to show all those who didn't believe in them how amazing their talent really is.

Kamisama Hajimemashita

Although the female lead in Kamisama Hajimemashita seems more ditsy and clumsy compared to the hard-working female lead in Saiunkoku Monogatari, both animes have a similar feeling where the female lead is surrounded by men who support and look out for her. The people around the female lead just want to see her grow and mature into a confident, strong woman.

Akatsuki no Yona

Both female leads are strong and confident and use that to their advantage to get through difficult situations. Not only that, they both have people with special talents (Special A is just normal talents while in Akatsuki no Yona "talents" refers to more of a fantastical element) who support the female lead and will be by their side no matter what. Although Akatsuki no Yona is more serious than Special A, both contain comedic elements and a little romance. I recommend watching both if you want to see a strong female lead kick some ass!

Although they do not have similar plots, both Chihayafuru & Fruits Basket contain dramatic, comedic, and romantic elements. The main female lead also has adorable, little romantic interactions with the two lead male characters but not enough to make the plots solely based on romance. Both will have moments that will make you tear up then smile because it's so lovely which is why I thoroughly enjoyed both!
