Watching this after Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency was surprising. After Part 1's great world building and character presentation along with Part 2's storyline, battles and characters, you'd expect that Part 3 would be even better or at least mantain the same level of quality.
What met expectations was some of the worst characters ever seen in entertainment. They had potential too; between Joseph's Hamon doing almost nothing and Jotaro's annoying blandiness + shitty lines, you get the feeling that the main characters just didn't have any effort put into them.
I gave the story a 4. And by story I
...
mean the Stands, because they were actually creative and enjoyable to watch. The ACTUAL story (Jotaro and his butt boys travel to egypt using the slowest methods available while defeating enemy stands) is hot garbage and doesn't deserve the pity of MAL's rating system of not allowing you to rate it 0.
The art and sound is a tiny bit worse than Parts 1 and 2 but it's still nice to look at and hear. No complaints there.
The enjoyment isn't completely ruined by the show's objective flaws, which honestly surprised me. The usual bizarre shit is still there, only better. Seeing Jotaro punching dickheads is pretty cool. The fights are a lot worse but if you don't overthink them you can enjoy them. It's JoJo, and it doesn't let you forget that.
Fucking sucks dick though.
