'The Ocean Waves' is a meandering story that never goes anywhere, with a bad structure and two "romantic" leads with zero chemistry. And yet, I don't feel as if it wasted my time; the atmosphere and visuals were on point most of the time, and the great soundtrack helped in making this an OK experience. If you go in with no expectations, you might be pleasantly surprised. If you want something as good as the average Ghibli movie, though, you should look elsewhere.

Heartfelt and genuine but hilarious, realistic emotionally but detached from reality in all the best ways, characters based on stereotypes but incredible development and character writing - OHSHC always finds balance! Its true strength is its humor and its fantastic characters. A must for people who like comedies or romantic anime (hits the spot for both). Don't go into it expecting something serious.

I really enjoy the original Yu-Gi-Oh and spinoffs made by the same team that made this one, but Yu-Gi-Oh! R is just disappointing. It made me not care at all what happens to characters that I already cared and read 300 chapters about!
This short manga bored me to no end - I had to force myself to finish it to write this review. Maybe that's just me, though. It does have its moments - I quite enjoyed the last volume, for example.
