It is my first anime review so it might have some problems.If I need to sum up this anime in one word,it would be "extraordinary".Some people might think this anime is another look at racism but I think it would be a lacking interpretion. It is much more than human brain in an animal body.Writer somehow managed to think what social problems can animals with self awareness and big brain suffer in a modern world. Maybe its story isn't special but thoughts main characters had are portrayed uniquely. I haven't impressed that much for months.These are my general opinions.From now I may give some spoilers.

think it is a pretty normal but lacking story. Even though I have watched all season,they didn't mention who might responsible for killing of the lama. I mean it is just bad storytelling.They showed at the end that they will go on lama story in the second season but come on.If lama story is your main story you should give us more hint so we can have some coruosity.
Art
Its drawing was pretty good. But if we are talking about art I should mention about its director.Normally I don't care an anime's art.I am a story guy. But when they kidnap Hal,image changed and they pretended like it is a normal movie and they recorded it with a normal camera.They made it just with a tiny movement-they drew it like the camera dropped at the ground. It might seem unimportant to a lot of guy but I enjoy this moments a lot. They completely changed my perception just for a moment and make me think what I am watching.

This anime got a 10 overall from me just for the characters.If there was a possiblity for more than 10,I would happily give them. They showed us very insightful psychological aspects of intelligent animals.Maybe we don't suffer what this anime's characters had suffered but we can empathise with them. It is just beatiful.
