"Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai"
What was on your mind the first time your read the title? You expect to see a senpai with bunny girl outfit all the time? no, it's not.

Don't even think about "meh, based on the title, I bet this show will have a lot of fan services".
The title is only applied to the first arc- first episode to be exact. After this you won't get another chance to see Mai-senpai in her bunny girl outfit (actually there is, but only for a split second but I won't spoil on what moment).

Story:
If I have to describe this show, I'd ... say that "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" is a combination of Oregairu, Bakemonogatari and Suzumiya Haruhi (based on these 7 episodes) and actually I can add 1 more title/reference because I already got spoiled from my facebook timeline, but I rather not.

When I say this show have a resemblance of Oregairu, it's the MC and Heroine, but don't worry, this show doesn't have slowwww pace like Oregairu and of course the MC and Heroine are even better than that from Oregairu. (Oregairu fans please don't be mad at me)
I'd say the MC & Heroine on this show is an upgrade version of Oregairu's.
Nuff said.

How about Bakemonogatari reference? This show also have odd cases called Adolescence Syndrome and need a proper way to solve them.

And as for Suzumiya Haruhi's reference, remember the "Endless Eight"? This show also have it, but only took 1 episode.

How about my experience after these 7 episodes?
Usually, when you see Comedy, Romance, School, Supernatural genre, you'll met a cliche show, a tsundere heroine, dense MC or even a show that have no real story.

But how about "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai"?
Well, I still can't believe myself after 7 episodes I still don't have a single complain.
Why? because this show:
- Have no unnecessary drama
- Have no dense MC & Heroine like any other generic SoL/RomCom
- The pace is well maintained and not rushed
- The character development is noticeable, especially between the MC and Heroine

I dare to say it's the best show for this season

Sounds:
I liked the OP and ED, especially the ED, it have a dedicated for its arc.

Art:
It's all good, similar to Oregairu season 2.

Overall:
10/10 for me as for now

Yes I gave it 10/10 because I generaly love SoL genre and this show did exceeeeeed my expectation.

Watch this show and you won't regret it.

I realized that I'm late to the party but I really need to express my thought about this anime.

This is my first time enjoying an anime that has "Chunni" material in it since Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! back in 2012.
When I mentioned "Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!" it doesn't mean that this anime is similar to that, not even close. In Chunnibyou's story is all about "chunni" things but in this anime is a pure comedy.

Story: 7
I already stated that this anime is a pure comedy, so story is not something you're looking for when you decide to watch this anime.
This anime focused on ... its comedy and sometimes they put romance in it, but romance in this anime just like "sweets".

There are 4 members in Art Club

- The president, the funny thing is his name never mentioned in the entire series, they only call him by "president". Despite from being a president he never do anything, all he was doing only naps.

- Usami Mizuki, the heroine, who loves drawing apple and in love with Subaru but always ingored because this guy only interested with 2D.

- Uchimaki Subaru, the last member of the club and the main character, a guy who loves 2D more than anyone and only drew 2D-waifu character instead of "Art" things.

- Collete, an underclassman who is also a member of the art club, doesn't do anything for the club and only having fun with them


Art: 9
Beautiful, suited the theme, not a single "fail" animation found.

Sound: 8
I always skip the Opening but not with the Ending. The ending song is rather unique to my ear and after read the lyric translation I find out that the ending song has something to do with "Art".
They really put an effort with their track, 8/10 would find the full version of this song.

Character: 10
Those guys are all pure and so honest. Their characters really living up the genre.


Enjoyment: 10
Like I said in the beginning of my review, this is my first time enjoying an anime that has "Chunni" material in it since Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!.

The jokes are not repetitive and never get bored from it.

Overall: 9
I highly recommended this anime for you who are into comedy anime.

After watching 3 episode you'll find that this anime kinda similar to Oregairu, for example:
Anayakoji (MC) similar to Hachiman
Horikita as anti social as Yukino
Kushida as annoying as Yui
Hirata as popular as Hayama
Karuizawa as b*thcy as Yumiko
Both anime have a 'bossy' teacher
So on... And there was no Iroha 'duplicate' :(

Story: 8
There are 4 classes (A, B, C & D) in this school, each class represent their rank in this 'elite' school. You can already tell which is the best or worse class based on the alphabet. For starter the school gave 100.000 points to students per month, well that's what the teacher said in the beginning (I won't spoil the twist), 1 point is worth 1 Yen, so 100k points = 100k Yen.
And the ways to get point are all the student in the class must have good attitude and grade and they must achieve both.

As the episode goes you'll find that the interesting point of this anime is not from the school itself but from each character personality.

Just like my other reviews, if I felt comfortable or the animation/art is stable and suited the theme I'll give a good rate.

Character: 8
MC personality more or less the same as Hachiman from Oregairu, don't care about anything around him but always ended up helping them.

Horikita is the type of girl who shut herself from people around her, being a loner is a good thing for her but as the episode goes Horikita starts to open a litle her heart to people around her.

Kushida have 2 personalities; Good girl in from of people and Dark while she is alone, I thought Kushida will be part of the problem but it's not.
It's as if revealing her both personalities and her threat towards Ayanakoji feel pointless. The most importantly thing is, this girl is far more annoying than that Yui (in Oregairu season 1).

Enjoyment: 9
Well, some people may not agree with my score but this is what I feel what this anime is deserve.

Overall: 9
If you like those characters personalities from Oregairu then this anime can be you as well.

This anime is not a rip-off of Oregairu in regard of story.

I believe almost everyone who starts watching this anime would think the same thing as me, "Is this Konosuba rip-off? MC dies and 'god' revived him to another world. This is exactly same as Konosuba!".
Well, that's what I thought at first, but I won't go by that wild mind for the rest of the season, so I accept the fact that there are a lot of Isekai theme out there and the plot could be similar to one another. Case closed with "Konosuba rip-off" everyone talking about.

Story: 5
First of all, this anime is more like a Slice of Life ... story rather than an Adventure and while I said that this anime is not a rip-off of Konosuba, I won't lie to myself that I didn't get the enjoyment like I got from Konosuba, both anime have the same plot as MC dies and revived but the BIG difference from both anime is the whole character themselves.
I won't talk much about Konosuba as you already know that anime well.

Let's start talking about the MC, he is OP AS F***. 'god' gave him a buff as a compensation from his blunder ('god' accidentally dropped some lightning on the world and it hits the MC ).
Instead of giving the MC a slight buff to make him capable of casting magic, this 'god' make the MC like a freakin' god himself.

Basically the MC got massive buff as he could cast all the elements and could copy others "null" magic. (watch the 1st episode and you'll understand this null thing).
I watched 'til episode 9 and there is no such thing as "the MC got wrecked or the MC having a hard time to deal with his New World".
I heard that in the Light Novel the story also goes like this and the MC still never having a hard time to everything. Welp.

And for the girls, all the girl are cute and strong enough to defend themselves from monster's attacks. Done.
Yes, that's the only worth telling. lel

Art: 7
The art style is suited with the theme but still lacks of animation. As long as the art style is suited with the theme, I'd always give it a good rate.

Sound: 6
Nothing special but still "okay" to listen.

Character: 5
No character development at all as the MC can pull all the basic spells or even rare spells easily.
And for the girls there is no development as well.

It's all about MC and the girls go rekt here and there and do some harem things.

Enjoyment: 7
While this anime is not so special but I still like it, yeah it is just my personal preference. I love both anime with weak MC or OP MC, as long as they are not dense on everything.

Overall: 6
Seems like there is nothing "good point" from this review but that's what it is.
Despite from that, I still recommend this anime if you like generic plot anime with magic and OP MC.

I almost lost all my respect for Touya when he said that he will marry all those 4 so lightly. If only Touya originally is from this Isekai in the first place maybe I won't be thinking this way, because the difference of culture with our REAL world.
In our world you can't just marry 4 or even 9, yeah, NINE girls at the same time.

Some people find it (last episode) fun to watch because not many harem anime would actually have this kind of route. But some poeple (including me) would get irritated by Touya's decision.

I don't want to take this anime seriously -especially the ending- because this is just parody but unfortunately I can't.

Aho Girl is like female version of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, in Aho Girl we got almost all the female are plain dumb while in Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou we got almost all the male are dumb as well.

Tbh, who cares about the story in this anime?
At first I thought i was gonna watch 1 annoying dumb girl messing around with her friends, but instead of getting 1 dumb character we got almost all female character on this anime are dumb af and some of them are even more insane.

Art: 9
As long as the animations ... are consistent and suited for the anime, I will always give them a high score.
Until episode 11, I never find a single "fail" animation on this dumb anime.

Sound: 9
Opening and Ending are good, especially the opening it suits well with that Banana Freak and the VAs really living their characters.

Character: 9
Almost all of the characters are dumb the way they are and all the female are well designed.
I really feel bad for Sayaka and Ruri. Sayaka have to deal with crazy girl, loner cool-hearted guy and a stalker everyday.
Ruri (Akutsu's lil sister), a cutie little girl with misfortune, always got bullied by Yoshiko (MC) and even from her brother (Akutsu).

Enjoyment: 10
If you are into comedy genre, doesn't care about logic and stupidity then this anime can be for you as well. I really got a lot of laugh when watching this dumb anime.

I recommend this anime for you guys who are into comedy anime.

Gamers, at first you expect this anime to be your another Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta and yet you got rom-com anime that has nothing to do with being a gamer in particular, game in this anime itself is just like "filler" to make it look like an anime that talking about gamers life.

In the first episode you got that scene where Tendou trying to invite Amano to join the Game club. This game club is basically just a room for member to play their favourite game, yes, they played DIFFERENT game in the same room.
Instead of calling that club is ... a Game club i'd say that's a FREE cyber cafe at school.

== If you really want to watch this anime just keep in mind that this is not an anime about gamers life but just another rom-com anime ==

in the first 3 episodes this anime give you a combination between game and rom-com and that's appealing (i was going to give an 9 but..). In these 3 episodes are about their passion as gamers and their life, but in the next episode 4 - 9..... The downhill is just obvious.

All the characters became more stupid than Ichika Orimura from Infinite Startos.
"Misunderstanding" became the plot for this anime so called "GAMERS", instead of focusing on "how do I convince Amano join the club?!" this anime turned out to be another cliche rom-com.
The only thing we got from these 5 characters is only misunderstanding. here is list of the character ( game club member are excluded because they have nothing to do with the story AT ALL )
A: Amano
T: Tendou
U: Uehara
Ag: Aguri
C: Chiaki

To put it simple:
A loves T
T loves A
(^ these two finally become a couple but it doesn't affect on their stupidity)
U & Ag couple
C loves A

The misunderstanding:
A thought U loves T (even after A & T become a couple)
T thought A loves C (even after T & A become a couple)
U thought Ag having an affair with A (dude, U & Ag already going out for half a year and why didn't they even solve this problem in their time after school, like seriously)
Ag thought U having an affair with C
C thought A is being played by Ag

so it became a circle of misunderstanding and basically that's what 4-9 episode are look like :)))))))

For people who rate this anime by 8-10, I believe they rate it when only 3 episodes are released. And if they still rate it 8-10 even after episode 8/ 9 and not disturbed by how U & Ag never talking about this problem in their time, then I don't know if they even understand what they are watching.
If you are in a relationship, you tend to trust to your partner and if anything seems suspicious you can ask everything you wanted to know about her/ him in a positive way ofc.

I love rom-com anime but I really can't stand with this one.

Character: 4
Sigh.. this is where the story became boring, generic characters are always fine to me, but this anime definitely have no character development at all. "Gamers" really not a suited name for this anime, if they name it by misunderstanding-relate name or rom-com-trouble name maybe it's fine.

Enjoyment: 4
Episode 1 - 3 : I would rate it by 9 especially when they tell us the backstory of Uehara & Aguri lovestory.
Episode 4 - 9 : "What the f are they even thinking, you can't be Ichika Orimura all the timeeeeeeee!"

Seriously guys, at this rate in the next 3 episodes they would not have time to make it decent anime.
Perhaps in the next 3 episodes they just clearing up about the misunderstanding then AmanoxTendou and UeharaxAguri finally having their normal love life and some sh*t quote about being a gamer.
In the end, that Game Club is totally BS :)))))

Overall: 5
If you haven't watched this anime, then don't watch it. It hurts to watch these kind of ppl and their relationship.

The good thing from this anime is the Illustration in the end of the episode.

Finally i've manage to finished the whole episodes after being stuck at episode 36.

... In my first review (watched 36 episode) I said that the first 13 episodes were promising but it just lost its touch afterwards, I said that because I thought episodes 14 - 20 are just some side story or filler. I guess that's what you get if you haven't watching all the episodes.

And finally I manage to watched the whole 50 episodes. What would I say? I really feel soooo much regret after writing negative review for this anime. In my first review, i thought episode 14 - 20 were just some random filler but after I watched the whole episodes, almost all episode -which i thought some filler- have a BIG part for the last arc. If you just started watching this anime I suggest you to keep it up, sometimes you will thinking "why don't they just introduce all the 12 guardians in less episodes?", but, just keep going guys.

CONTAIN SOME SPOILER
Some plot twist are predictable, such as that Mikage guy being the Seimei himself, but it's not losing its value to be a plot twist.

Rokuro vs Yuto, guys.. that "super saiya" form of Rokuro is so badass. that form gives Rokuro an enormous energy even greater than full powered Yuto form.
The real reason behind why did Yuto always challenging Rokuro also unpredictable and this is where the story become dark and sad at the same time.

Maybe it is just me? but I feel like the last arc more like Naruto-ist, also Seimei have the same peace-world-ideal as Kaguya.

And finally the last 2 episodes, that was the finest ending I have ever watched. I won't spoil this one, but it really is beautiful. Good Job.

If you like some shounen anime then this anime is for you.

"True Tears"
the first thing I had in mind when reading the title is "another tearjerk anime? gotta watch it now!", and I did. I marathon 13 eps just to get pissed off at the main character.

Well, i really had big hopes on this anime because i love tearjerk anime and i thought this is one of them, but it's not.

This is just another triangle love anime that you already know that one heroine should suffer/ accept the fact that the MC choose the best girl (fir himself ofc), but i can't really accept the way MC kicks the true best girl from his life.

At the ... beginning of the story, we are told that the MC has feeling for the Girl(A), and we get the reason why the Girl(A) can't accept his feeling and telling a lie to the MC that they are siblings. That makes them even further apart and they start to accepting that reality.

And the MC meet a strange girl (Girl B). A girl who always cheerful and be herself even though she has been through a lot of pain and need a person to be there for her.


SPOILER

Finally the MC and Girl(B) have spent their days, weeks, months together, getting along together and loves each other. Everything is okay until he found out that the Girl(A) is not related to him and now the MC madly in love with the Girl(A) and just throw eveything he had with the Girl(B).

Girl(B) still love him and tries approach him and talking about everything to get only sh*t from the MC and Girl(A), yeah Girl(A), the Girl that barely talk now try to talk sh*t to the Girl(B) and told Girl(B) to stay away from the MC.

man, how can you do this to that innocent girl? triangle love often have 1 girl to suffer the lost, but not like this, this is not a "win or lose", but pure betrayal.

i would highly recommend to avoid this anime if you hate some love-betrayal anime.

episode 1 - 8 are good
episode 9 - 12 are just nahhhhhhhh

it was obvious that the MC will fall in love instead of gets his revenge, that's the first thing came up in my mind at first episode then i'll just wait for the plot to go and how his revenge plan be going. But, there is no revenge in entire episode.

I never expect the ending would be this sh*t, i've never read the LN/Manga, but this ending really pissed me off as i wasted my time watching these nonsense 12 eps.

fakemune and the random girls just make it even more nonsense, it's like the ... author don't know how the story will turn out, so the author just throw some random characters.
