This could have been a 10/10 if the protagonist was not a self-insert and it had more than three interesting characters. The love interests, aka the girls throwing themselves at our mc every chance they got, were all shallow and boring; they only served to connect him to his humanity and were not treated as actual characters.
The story was predictable and even though the alien invasion genre is overdone at this point the show wasn't really focused on that part so I think it's still worth watching for the moral analysis of the characters and the general themes. It also did a great job at
