More dystopian future... Yes please!
In terms of story this anime is worth a watch, because even though it does have some of the stereotypical elements for this genre of anime it has a twist of mystery to it that lends to a somewhat unique strength, and weakness. The fact that mystery is tied in to the story makes it somewhat difficult to immerse oneself in to the story initially, but it also ends up adding an extra dimension to the plot and making it interesting. In terms of interaction with the characters, this mystery is what allows for the further development of the characters as
...
the story progresses, and makes what at first seems like a simple struggle between good and bad into something far more unsure and intriguing.
The characters are interesting and relatable, and one of the strengths in the story is the fact that it is able to incorporate an appropriate if not masterful touch of comedy that does not seem out of place. This is one of the few series that makes the plot truly believable and the characters truly human and relatable. There will be emotional connections made with the characters' struggles.
In terms of the mood, this anime is exceptionally dark and serious. This is something I have not seen done in a captivating way often, but it is done here.
This is anime is for those looking for something serious, dark, and interesting. The only issue is some may need a little patience and perseverance to get into it. Although not high priority, it is a worthwhile watch.

Let me begin by pointing out that this is a review of Geass and Geass R2.
In terms of story this anime is one that draws you in and does not let loose. The strength of this anime as I perceive it is related to the fact that it is able to represent a dystopian future with super powers and mechs in such a realistic way. As the story develops you find yourself truly invested both in the individual struggles of the different characters, and the struggle represented by the plot as a whole. The struggle isn't simple and straight forward, but rather complex. This is
...
one of the few anime in which a viewer will truly struggle with the many characters' decisions morally because there is no clear correct decision. Definitely worth a watch.
The art is great, almost flawless in fact...
Characters are developed to extent that one can hardly believe, especially considering how long the series is.
The mood of the story is a serious and dark one, so prepare for an emotional roller coaster.
This is an anime for those looking for something dark and serious with a attention grabbing story and in depth character interaction. Just watch it at some point, you won't regret it!

Before I begin I would like to clarify the fact that this review is regarding the (hopefully first) 12 episodes of this anime. In terms of potential I truly believe this anime has immense potential in the long run.
For what it manages to accomplish in 12 episodes this anime is amazing, but that in and of itself is the issue. 12 episodes isn't really long enough for the story to develop and advance enough. Although you may binge watch the series in one go because the story is interesting enough for that there will be an unfilled void once you finish it. There are a
...
lot of unanswered questions, and it is all just left up in the air.
WAIT! Before you go I would like to point out it is still definitely worth a watch, if not for the story and characters which may seem underdeveloped then for the art. Yes, the art! If you have read any of my other reviews you know that I have a hard time critiquing art. Well here it is, the art is awesome...
It is hand drawn, but looks better than the majority of the cgi I have seen. Combine awesome art with a plot about mechs and we are a go. The battle scenes are great, and make the anime worth a watch.
This anime is for those interested in an adequate story with a lot potential, that has amazing hand drawn art. It is an action and military based anime with a relatively serious mood. Honestly it does exceptionally well in the limited time allotted to it.

Bleach is an almost perfect embodiment of the shounen genre in my opinion.
The story starts out well and you easily get drawn into it. The reason is really the characters, because they are so unique and interesting. The issue I have, and the reason I won't give it a higher rating is the fact that the story often feels fragmented. It is because of the fact that there are sudden moments of escalation followed by long stretches where it all plateaus.
Nevertheless they must have done something right for the series to have such a following. The best way I can describe this anime
...
is as a complete package. Although there are some weaknesses and holes present within the story the fact is this series has everything from comedy to tragedy, and straight up action scenes. It's the type of anime that will keep you coming back even though there doesn't seem to be anything spectacular about it.
In terms art there really isn't anything special about it at all, but I don't think that is what the viewer should be worried about. The plethora of interesting characters will keep you far too busy for the art to get in the way of enjoying the show.
Really this show is for anyone looking for an anime that combines the shounen, super power and supernatural themes into one interesting plot, but isn't serious in terms of its overall mood.
//Spoilers(maybe?)//
More like a fair warning, but the anime does end relatively suddenly in what seems like the middle of the story. Well that is because it does, the manga is still ongoing, so if you do feel like you wish to continue the story the manga is the way to do it.

Here we go, so this is another story based around a dystopian society.
As such the mood for the story is dark, and serious although not too dark. They provide enough of a backstory that you aren't lost, which allows you to more easily relate to the characters and be a part of the struggle. In terms of complexity the story is lacking because there is a clear distinction between who is fighting for good and who is evil. This doesn't take away from the story though because there is enough of a gray area so that there is an internal struggle for the viewer.
The art
...
is what I would consider more than adequate, although not outstanding. I feel that there really isn't anything to complain about because it doesn't get in the way of the viewer's enjoyment.
Mood is tragic and serious, but there is more than a sprinkle of comedic relief present as well. For that reason I could understand why some may say that the comedy is out of place when the plot is based on a dystopia. This is where I disagree because I felt that the comedic touches allowed for relief at points when the mood seemed to heavy.
If you are looking for something with a serious, but not down right depressing show with an adequate story you have come to the right place.

This review pertains to all 3 seasons of Bakuman.
The story is one that puts a lot of focus on the relationships between the individuals rather than on the plot as a whole. This leads to there being a large number of characters that are well developed and you become very emotionally invested in.
The art is adequate, but there is nothing particularly breathtaking about it. This doesn't take away from the story at all, and in fact may be a boon because it does not distract the viewer from the story.
The mood and emotional aspect of the anime is not only appropriate, but also exceptionally balanced.
...
It isn't a simple tragedy or comedy, and the ups and downs don't feel out of place. Again this is a boon because even though you will feel for the characters, it won't end up putting off or cause the story to lose focus.
Overall it is an enjoyable series that is really a complete package.
In terms of priority for viewing the priority should not be very high unless you wish to get a view into the lives of manga authors.
This is why I definitely recommend that everyone who reads manga or watches anime watches this or reads the manga. It allows you to appreciate just how much work goes into what we often give barely any heed, the fact that the authors also have to make a living.

Tokyo Ghoul is a worthwhile read because of the fact that the reader becomes so involved with the individual characters emotionally, and struggles to discern which side of the conflict is fighting for the right reasons. For me this was exceptional because it is synonymous with conflicts in the real world; nothing is black and white. We just have varying shades of gray.
The story is dark one, and may not be for the feint of heart. The art expands upon the story as a whole does a great job of adding another dimension for the reader's enjoyment because it truly resounds with the mood of
...
the story and characters.
Definitely worth a read!
//SPOILERS(Sort of)//
This is why I gave the manga an 8 overall.
First the ending is abrupt, very out of place, and quite frankly ruined the whole story for me.
The last few chapters seem to me like they are forced, like the author wasn't prepared.
I hope there is a follow up because the ending is so abrupt, there are way to many unanswered questions.

Being as this is my first review I ask that those considering it take it with a grain of salt. This is in reality because I have always had a hard time putting my thoughts into words in general.
Now, let's get down to business... This review is coming from the perspective of a person who has completed a number of and dabbled in numerous anime. The story is for the most part very straight forward and typical for the genre. Although the story is not very differentiated I felt that I was still willing to make a connection with the characters and be a
...
part of the story. Even though overall the story was lacking in terms of depth, I felt it hit on a few key ( Although common ) themes and points that made it enjoyable to watch.
I would recommend this to those who enjoy a darker anime of this genre that doesn't quite become too serious, but still has a punch to it. As is often the anime does feature humor that does tend to lighten the mood.
