The best anime of all time. A must-watch.
The story is probably one of the best historically driven anime/manga stories ever with a wonderful depiction of Germany and Czechoslovakia. My father lived in each country for about 10 years from 1980-1999 and he absolutely loved the depiction of Europe at the time.
The art style is wonderfully drawn, adapted from the manga and animated and is a truly unique aspect of this anime. Characters are drawn uniquely and accurately, as to aid viewers with their perception of these characters. The scenery, the understated music, and the wonderful adaptations of sequences and events from the manga
...
make this a quintessential psychological thriller experience.
The characters are some of the best ever written in manga/anime with Johan Liebert being the best villain you could possibly find. He haunts you with chilling nihilism and is a fantastic representation of human evil and its roots. Tenma is an underrated character, as despite being almost too perfect, he represents the power of self-belief, kindness, and morality, the best humanity could be.
Of course, as said in some negative reviews here, the story is not perfect, no story ever is. If you look deep enough, there will always be plotholes or things that were too convenient, were not 100% logical, or were not explained properly. But these do not diminish the quality of Monster, it actually propels Monster into a league of its own as overall, if you actually follow the story and try to understand the beauty of the multi-facted storytelling that takes place here, you will see that overall the story's grip and tension is astounding, and definitely sufficient for an enjoyable once-in-a-lifetime experience.

For me, this is the pinnacle of modern shounen. The core of it is nothing new, the characters, cliches, story have been inspired by other well-known shounens. What it does well is an intricate combat system explaning sorcerers very well and how they fight. Additionally, everything is tweaked slightly, as well as giving a dark and demonic/ gorey twist (again, not new and actually super common these days as shown in Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, etc.). The story is interesting and has many new elements and is not predictable. Characters and character development is great. As an anime, the animation is impressive to an old

school anime watcher who just started watching the new series again. I'd say this is my favourite out of Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man and modern shounen anime (2020 onwards), after Boku no Hero.
Many complain about the MC, which I partially agree with, I like him as a character, but I do think he lacks some flavour compared to other characters and MCs in the past. I don't see this as a flaw of the series however, as it is refreshing to see a manga/anime treat the MC as a normal character and let others shine.
Like many others, I also adore Gojo Satoru, and his strength and charisma is one of the factors that carry this show, which is both a positive but also a negative of this show because it diminishes the balance and attractiveness of other characters slightly. Villains such as Kenjaku, Geto, Sukuna have fantastic designs and back stories, and the history of jujutsu as well as families, while nothing new, are all well-constructed.

The story has many cliched themes such as 7 deadly sins, immortality, Xing resembles China and the westerners have blond hair etc, but the details and the structure is unique in my opinion.
The art style is untraditional, and not pretty in the usual sense but it fits the story perfectly and grows on you. After a while, it's become the signature look and feel for the anime.
The characters are great, written to achieve depth and shounen flavour, but overall they are of high quality and most are very lovable in their own way. The interaction between characters and how they grow and help each

other is the series's main strength. Overall, the quality of the story and characters is top-notch, I'd say only serious stuff like Berserk and Monster surpasses it. In terms of shounen anime/manga, I think this surpasses One Piece in story writing quality and depth, but One Piece has better world-building and way more characters. Otherwise, this blows all other shounen stories, including HxH, out of the water.
For me, perhaps the best anime I've ever seen, up there with the likes of Monster, Stein's Gate, Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass. The best shounen anime by far and way better than Hunter x Hunter, as good as Hunter x Hunter is. The depth, the depiction of life, the characters, the story, the world-building, the law of equivalent exchange and the main message of the need to sacrifice and endure difficult things to achieve truly great things are some of the main reasons why this is my favourite anime of all time.

I wrote a full review on reddit if you guys want to check it out.
Art: The art is very unique and drawn by the author (SIU) himself at the start. Art is not its strong point at the start but bear with it as he gets way better as the story progressed (ongoing for almost 10 years now) and now he probably has an amazing team helping him out. Check out some new chapters if you're curious about the difference in the art now and then. The characters, shinsoo(kidna like energy in this story) , background scenes, fighting scenes, killer moves and techniques are
...
all drawn to the highest level of detail and beauty nowadays.
Story: Not gonna go into the details to avoid spoilers but it's simply outstanding. Other reviews might have an outline of the story if you're interested. The pacing is slow at first and it might be confusing or boring depending on your taste, but absolutely stick with it. I'll just say that it just keeps getting better. Take your time, be patient and enjoy yourselves. There will be a moment when you start to go crazy and get obsessed with this story.
Character: The main character is the overpowered type. The destined one with unlimited talent and background. He's not the best character in the story and kinda typical for a shounen MC. .
The other characters are where it's at. So many characters who are all written to absolute perfection. Their relationships, family background, character designs (they look cool, their names sound cool, they act cool, etc...). Even minor characters usually show up or are involved in something later on. Everything and everyone seems to connect really well with everything else.
Overall, Tower of God/10. Definitely one of my favourites of all time and probably the best ongoing manga along with AOT
