The premise of the anime is interesting so it isn't hard to watch all 12 episodes. I like the art and the humor sprinkled in between. To me, I think the plot could have been better paced as a movie. I feel that there are many underdevelop lines, and if there is a theme it is not very clearly delivered. There is so much potential to be more whether it was as an action-drama genre or through a psychological/philosophical route. Yet, it doesn't push the boundaries. Or to put it in a non-spoilery manner, the anime provide fixed, optimized, socially accepted answers.

Despite these flaws, ... I enjoy just watching the process, just watching the action and not thinking too much about it.

I avoid this anime because I thought it was a full mecha fighting anime but fighting only covers a small component. I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed by this anime because it could be so much more.

This was adapted from a visual novel - related to Steins gate but do not expect the same quality. No. You'll see that it becomes promising and then the plot just fall below average. The characters are shallow and there was a lot that could be cut out to make way for the real conspiracy.

Some episodes were good but this anime has a continuing plotline ... and I think they did not space the episodes out well. If they chose well to flesh out the story and reduce the backstory for the characters, this will work better.

Unless you have plenty of time, I won't recommend this as you will get disappointed. If you are looking for slightly futuristic sci-fi elements, I think there are other anime which offer a better execution...

The first time I watched the anime I could not get pass the 2nd episode. However, I had known for awhile that this is one of those anime that many people will recommend. To appreciate this anime, I would say you have to go through about 5 episodes. I love the mysteries and the twists in this story and best of all I like the re-occurring theme about how things may not be as simple. The story is so well written - in a literature sense.

You need to like anime which shows different POVs. This is not a very straightforward anime so you might ... want to avoid this if you are looking for a light anime - despite it seeming to be so. This is definitely not a slice of life anime.

Why haven't anyone written a review for this is beyond me. Firstly, do watch the prequel as you will not fully appreciate what is going on unless you watch the prequel.

Story: This is a episodic anime and basically it was adapted from a gag anime so the story is literally full of crap but so funny. I won't recommend anyone looking for this to develop into something serious. This is a comedy and it stays true to what it is.

Art: The animation is okay but there are serious level of ugliness going on here however it is done for comedic purposes.

Sound: No complaints ... here.

Character: The characters in this anime are horrible. Their personalities are very very bad and they are crude, shallow and sometimes detestable. However, this is absolutely exploited for humour.

Enjoyment: If you don't mind a bit of blasphemy, sexism and ecchi, this is the type of anime with dark humour you can enjoy. And sort of feel evil about.

All Crayon Shin Chan lovers must try to watch this. Have you ever wondered what the characters in Crayon Shin Chan will look like in the future and what they will do in the future. Though Shin Chan's future self does not fully appear, this movie is entertaining and definitely worth your time.

Yes, I am being biased for this. However, this is the sort of anime, which execution is so crucial and it is so well done.

The story is creative in the way it portrays the vampires. But what is essentially compelling about the story is its exploration about what it means to be human. The story forces the characters to make difficult decisions and often morality and survival are at odds. This is a very well written plot that was brought to life by very good directing.

The characters look good and the music is very well suited for the scenes.

You have a mix of ... characters and as with such stories expect their core personality to breakdown and react to the situation. It is sadistic but enjoyable to watch the characters evolve through the plot.

Vampire thriller, what is there not to enjoy?

You can only feel the shocking absurdity of this anime if you follow it as it was broadcast. Now, if you know any spoilers about this anime, the impact won't be as exhilarating. Thus, a good advice, is to just watch it and do not look for spoilers, be open to its' unpredictability and you will truly appreciate this work.

The story starts out light-hearted and it deceives you to believe that there is some sort of positive plot going on. However, it spirals from then on to the climax(there ... will be so many mysteries) and ending which is absolutely unpredictable and so strange you will be shocked at your initial impression of it. The plot is indeed kooky but as a literary work it is well written - there are so many memorable quotes.

The art is distinctive in its' good use of POV and just great arty shots. The sounds are important to emphasis various reoccurring symbols and the music in the anime sticks, so it is pretty good, I guess.

The characters are not your standard run-of-the-mill characters. Be prepared. They are full of what Japanese people term complexes. And who doesn't love flawed flawed characters?

This anime, however, is not the sort to sit down and enjoy. It is the sort of mind-screwing type of anime that you can agree it is good but with a weird bad after-taste.

I will give this anime 10 because I think it is a top-class anime in this genre. Sci-fi with quirky kids minus gore. This anime is definitely the hidden anime you have missed. I don't understand why it isn't more popular.

There is a story and then there is this amazing setting. In the story, the kids must definitely resolve to work together and coming to this amazing ending - this we expect. However, the details are important in this anime. While tackling the plot, it brings up issues about augmented reality and the dangers of new technology (without falling into the dark seinen zone). ... On the surface of a well-thought out and complex background setting, it doesn't forget the younger audiences and still maintains the humour that such anime should have.

There is nothing to complain about the art. The animation is smooth. The opening song is great and very sci-fi-ish.

If you watch anime for a good story, then go ahead. Try this.

When I first saw this anime, I thought I wouldn't like it. This isn't the type of art I like and action superheroes are not my thing. That was my initial impression until my friend had highly recommend it. You definitely have to push through the first episode if you do not like episodic battle anime. The story will get better and you will have your darker plot!

The art needs getting use to, I guess it is not very traditional. I can't remember the sound but I like the opening.

What I love about this story.. ohh the characters. There are so many hidden facets and ... the characters are developed quite well (no one dimensional characters here).

This may not be that appealing to people looking for a romantic anime (there isn't much) but if you are looking for x-men themes like superhero woes and supervillains motivations, you won't be disappointed.

If you like sci-fi anime, this is absolutely the anime for you. The setting of the story is a more than ordinary family gathering and things escalate from there. Talk about family drama! The plot is well paced and the premise is interesting, what more can you ask of it. I love the art - if you know your postmodern art. Colourful and imaginative. Contrast superflat with the modern warm of a large family. Excellent!

I can't remember any of the music particularly but I remember that the music was well used to generate the atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed this work and would recommend anyone looking ... for a heart-warming tale interwoven with the fun of virtual reality.
