It's similar to its genre and the attitude of the protagonists. Both female protagonists doesn't want to mingle with its classmates and does want to be alone and also the one they like is friendly and popular.

It's similar to its genre and the characters. The female protagonists on both are short in size pairing a boy who's far taller than her. But eventhough with that, they end up liking each other. It's just that in Hiyokoi it's not showed in the anime.

Bokura Ga Ita is well known for a romance, drama-filled manga. I think that Strobe Edge fits its popularity too. Bokura Ga Ita and Strobe Edge are just alike with its story- the girl falls in love to a boy who is popular to her school. But the difference is that in Bokura, boy's bestfriend falls inlove with the girl while in Strobe Edge, the girl's childhood friend falls in love with her. Also, (in Bokura) the boy can't forget his past lover and (in Strobe Edge) the boy's girlfriend is the sister of the girl's childhood friend.

They're both alike with the main characters, a yokai and a human. A romance and a sci-fi genres. In Kamisama Hajimemashita, a yokai became human's familiar. As time goes by, they both felll in love with each other beside the fact that a human and a yokai pair is a taboo. The movie Hotarubi no Mori e is about the human boy who became a yokai/spirit and a human girl who was once lost in a mountain of gods. This is only 44minute anime film. The story revolves around how the yokai fell in love with the girl knowing that they couldn't be with each other and the fact that when the yokai touches a human, he disappears. Kamisama Hajimemashita is still airing (but it's better to read the manga).
