Both feature cute female characters, a mentor like figure, and revolve around a fantasy adventure. They are also both deal with slightly darker themes, that are made to feel less serious by the characters and how the situations are portrayed.

Both are supernatural slice-of-life series about young characters with supernatural powers. There is surreal art, used for comedic effect, in both that some may view as bad; I find the art has a certain charm to it.

Aliens Area is an alien version of Kaijuu 8-gou pretty much. It isn't play for laughs as much, but it also doesn't take itself too seriously. I have read very little of both manga, but the basis of the story is very similar I feel. I finished chapter 4 and there is 0 fan service in the manga so far, I hate fan service so I greatly appreciate its absence in this manga.

Aliens Area is similar to Chainsaw Man in a lot of ways, think of Chainsaw Man but instead of the MC killing devils they fight aliens. I haven't read much of Aliens Area but I have been really enjoying a lot of it. The main difference between the two is Aliens Area doesn't lean towards comedy as much as Chainsaw Man does. I finished chapter 4 and there is 0 fan service in the manga so far, I hate fan service so I greatly appreciate its absence in this manga.

Aliens Area is like an alien version of Jujutsu Kaisen but instead of the MC being in school they are a member of the Men In Black. I have only read the first two chapters of Aliens Area but I have been really enjoying the pacing, art, fight choreography, and characters. I finished chapter 4 and there is 0 fan service in the manga so far, I hate fan service so I greatly appreciate its absence in this manga.

The two manga share multiple similarities like being set in a fantasy world, being a a story about self-discovery, and having a female protagonist with a mostly child cast. Both have great art, good comedy, clever concepts, and very likeable characters. Each of the manga have mostly a lighter tone set in a dark and mysterious world.

Both shows have a sci-fi setting with an existential theme and tone. Even though Kaiba isn't a slice-of-life it still has a Iyashikei tone with healing aspects to it. The contrast between the helplessness of the world, with the hope that the characters have for the future, creates a sad as well as uplifting feeling. Both have a very unique art style and world that I haven't really seen in other anime, or manga. They each create a feeling of melancholy, in their own ways, that is extenuated by the soundtracks and use of colour. Each show are somewhat episodic, as well as use the narrative device distortion of time, to create a subtle yet compelling narrative.

Being seinen they are targeted towards an older demographic; even though having the same demographic can have more of a nebulous connection, I still feel it can apply when most of the titles genres overlap. Both manga are in the genres of fantasy; slice-of-life; as well as supernatural, while having a female protagonist, and primarily a child cast. I thought it was worth mentioning that someone else has recommended the manga Kuro, in relation to Shoulder-a-Coffin Kuro, which is by the same mangaka as Shadows House.

The worlds both shows are set in have similar characteristics, they share a somewhat similar style of comedy, power systems are somewhat similar as well (a general theme that plays around with the established rules to make for interesting combat dynamics).

The protagonist in Black Clover is of unknown origin and is mostly useless when it comes to the standard form of fighting, both characteristics are each that of the two protagonists in World Trigger. Secondary cast features an over powered cute girl; also in Black Clover; as well as over powered senpai; also in Black Clover. The two shows also share a similar voice cast.

Both anime's feature very well written characters going through adolescence, and use supernatural themes/elements to further express their narratives. Both being done by A-1 Pictures/Clover Works, they both share many aesthetic similarities like art style, soundtrack, and emotional tones. Both shows greatly share all of the similarities previously mentioned; the shows showcase the growth of its characters, as well as express their emotions, by being combated by other worldly occurrences at young ages. Being able to convey emotion through characters is a main aspect of both shows, and something A-1 pictures has done for years.
