Surprisingly daring anime, considering that even at the beginning it copies horribly Fushigi Yuugi. The girl is naïve and stupid. The story is predictable andboring. And to top it all off every single man in the anime seems to be in love with the “heroine”. All in all, something that will probably only make you angry as you watch it. Better not then…

A beautiful anime, with an animation at its best. Every movement is magical, every landscape breathtaking.
This anime has probably one of the best first episodes EVER to be aired. But that’s all there is to it. From episode two onwards there’s nothing but predictable actions dialogs and possibly the most moronic relationships I have ever seen. If you are a fan only concerned with the animation style of the series this is a MUST WATCH. But if you’re looking for something beyond that, watch the first episode and don’t bother with the rest. It’s not worth the torn hair.

I’m not going to lie to you. This anime has its problems BUT its good points completely make up for them. The main reason I found this anime compelling in the first place is that it starts of very lightly, not slowly but lightly. The first 20 episodes or so are pure comedy nonsense which also gives you an idea of most of the characters beforehand. After that, again very lightly, it transcends into a more battle oriented plot but again it’s not heavy enough to weigh you down. As the time passes the comedy becomes more ‘inside-joke’ oriented and the problems of the real ... mafia start to seem more realistic. The greatest point about this anime is that it becomes better with time. The battles, the emotional issues but also the comedic side of the characters’ situation, have developed greatly. If you like comedy, fighting, cool gadgets, epic music and both pretty girls and dashing boys. Then you should take a look at this splendid piece of art. Granted visually it lacks, since the manga is beautifully drawn, but again everything else is up to par with the best of them.
