I mean... It's fine. It has some moments when the comedy kinda works but it really wants to be a fight anime and the fight animation is really bad. Lot of static pans, no real fluidity or sense of weight. If you're looking for an anime to scratch your fighting itch this isn't it. If you're looking for an anime to scratch your comedy itch this isn't it.
If you're looking for an anime that features people constantly monologuing and expositing in your face rather than progressing the plot, character arcs or basic action? Oh man, this is the anime for you!

So far as I can tell most of the negative reviews for this are because they took the premise at face value and were disappointed when it didn't give them the low-brow fan-service they demanded.
If you came here because you want a bland protagonist who you can self-insert as he bathes in a varied harem of mostly large-breasted girls (but not entirely because there's always one that could arguably be a kid... *shudders*) and follows all the cliche story arcs there-in... Keep walking. If you heard this thing subverts all the genre tropes and does so in a way that will genuinely make you laugh, enjoy! ... |
