tldr; Amazing third season that starts off like a snowball, getting better each episode that is about a comedic slice of life with characters acting their age and character development, extremely beautiful art, music, and pacing.

Story - Picking up where season 2 left off and trying to delve into the relationship between Takagi and Nishikata further. While the first half of the season can be considered the usual teasing hijinks, each plot point is carefully placed to lead up to amazing episodes later on.

Art - The water color art style highlights the beauty of Shodoshima's environments well and the character designs are always spot on, ... feeling like a natural extension of the environments.

Sound - First off, the main voice actors (Takahashi Rie-san and Yuuki Kaji-san are huge fans of the source material, and it shows in their voice acting: simply the BEST. In terms of music is SOOOO good, Ohara Yuiko writes/composes the openings and she really enjoys the show as well. The various ending songs, are amazing- as they are chosen to represent Takagi's feeling of the episode and show her voice actor's dynamic singing ability. The le motif of specific characters and Takagi/Nishikata's theme really hits the marks. As a music fan, the sound heavily augments the scenes. I've bought all the vocal songs on digitally on Amazon Music and can't wait to buy the OST.

Character - Takagi and Nishikata are a great pair that actually feeds off of one another very well, despite being young middle schoolers. The side characters are great too and all serve a purpose, whether its helping with pacing or juxtaposing their relationships with Takagi and Nishikata. Kimura is the best wing man ever.

Enjoyment - Loved every moment of the show and cried tears of happiness many times. The latter half of the season was amazing and many of those episodes could have been considered season finales for the development they brought the characters AND their production values.

Overall - Currently my favorite anime of all time, as it simply brings me so much happiness watching and re-watching it seeing Takagi and Nishikata get closer and closer each episode. Remembering the episodes don't effect my enjoyment one bit and continue to have the comedic/emotional impact as the first time: a rare gem.

Great premise but terrible animation. I was super hyped from the trailer, but wow, if this is what anime is turning into I might as well just read the manga. The VAs are great but the OP and animation is atrocious. I love comedies and the idea, but wow, I am not able to "watch" this show with its power point slide presentation (pun totally intended). Overall, despite the nice characters and colorful scenes, this seems like a really lazy done "anime." that just colorizes the manga panels.

I really had expected more from J.C. Staff, but apparently, they must have really cut corners to ... get this out the door.
