Now this is my first time writing a review but,I have these pent up thoughts on this series. And I do not know what counts as a spoiler and what does not so if I spoil some scenes,I apologise in advance.
Story:6
Ok so I'm being lenient here because I have a soft spot for Accelerator as a character because of his immense kuudere side its just too lovable so I will not go all in.But the plot from the 3 times I have watched, is building up an intense plot for the next season hinting at the governing boards and honestly,A certain scientific Accelerator is a new

timeline by itself, assuming that it did happen after Railgun S,now I may be wrong, but there was a scene where Saten saw a massive over the roof figure and many people saw it too,I can assume 200+ people saw it, they must have taken photos and videos, with Anti-skill as well and the new dark organisation but this was never mentioned ever again even during the events of Railgun T,which is the most recent franchise of them all in the anime series, yet Saten didn't even tease anyone of it's presence or its "urban legend"(as she would usually talk to her friends about) and news reporters never mentioned anything about it, considering that the Governing Board of Directors told them not to, why should they care? The only people involved were the Academy's dark side and the villain, not mentioning it to the many public eye may arouse even more suspicions than not.So already, this has no links to the main storyline, this itself is a new plot.Ok back a bit more to the topic,I do not particularly like the idea that Accelerator is going up against foes who he can one shot, like the evil organisations(not gonna spoil) and this is supposed to be his rehabilitation? But fine its season one every OP character starts like that but at the end of the series, its not like he was the main protagonist already because all eyes weren't on him delivering the final blow, but rather like those supporting characters who would risk themselves to protect someone. But as I said,I love Accelerator as a character so I will just let this slide, overall the plot is good in building up for a season 2 instead of following the series as a whole.
Art:8
Now I do not know the definition of a "good" art but as long as I can make out the faces clearly and see how they are feeling I'm good and whether its visually attractive or not and honestly, this anime does not treat its background like an inanimate object where its blurry unlike some anime where you know which item will be involved because it is highlighted. But hey what do I know right?I'm just someone who managed to watch Hand Shakers and W'z and still be able to understand and enjoy the fight scenes.Though the animations weren't as good as what you would see in an anime like Weathering With You, it still had the same animation as Endimyon and Railgun T so can't really say much but hey just my opinion. However,I gave it an 8 is because they messed up Accelerator's face in one scene when he was talking to Last Order which annoyed me a bit.
Sound:7
And ok I might be repeating this too much, but now I do not know the definition of "good" sound effects but I guess I can pass it because in the end it is still audible and I can hear what is being moved and what is happening like metal pieces clunking together and feet stomping on the ground and wind blowing against the hair as long as I can still hear it passes well might as well give it a 10 right?
Character:5
Now I'm pissed because compared to the enemies of the other series excluding Magical Index, why the hell does Accelerator gets the easiest? He is literally fighting rotten scums instead of villain masterminds, hell even the villain ain't that rotten and as big of a mastermind then the villains of Railgun S and the first season of the Railgun franchise, how about letting him fight with people who can ACTUALLY cancel out his powers so that he can rely on the side characters more, and build his character as a person who is changing and right now from what I said earlier, this itself is another story, its not a side story, its an alternate story, and do you know how much I love Accelerator as a character that as I am writing this, it hurts me to see how the production team treated this character like trash and just throwing in things unrelated to the main story, going "all out" thinking he can make an impact in that universe, but ultimately he doesn't change. Its just sad to see that everything introduced in the other series are not being put to work, especially when the anti-esper system from Railgun was introduced, they did not even introduce it one bit, its like that event never happened. Can't the dark organisations hire a hacker, to break into the systems and learn about it? I mean Gensei is literally part of the dark side himself, surely someone could have known he had a daughter called Therestina KIHARA and a member called KIHARA Amata, how can these people who are smart to do calculations and solve enemies thinking patterns and how they move not figure this out?Its way too imbalanced.im sorry Im going off topic, but back on track, basically, the producers of Accelerator messed up on the villains they are facing and they are all villains who would suit their powers and opens up a possibility of them being able to handle them alone which does not build character, but just shows how "good" they are instead of how much they have changed from the encounters although we know how much Accelerator cares about Last Order to be able to do anything for her and he will overpower anything that tries to kill her, yes that much we know.OK let me clear my thoughts.Basically I am trying to say that since this is a new storyline already, same with Railgun T,though I may be wrong, but the events just don't add up,I hope that the producers will reconsider following the manga and treat A certain scientific Accelerator as an alternate story and just not do what they wanted in the manga because I can guarantee that no one will like it because this season and 2nd season have no differences. They are both the same in concept where Accelerator just destroys everyone.Ok back to the Kihara thing, since Therestina was defeated before the events of the Sisters Arc and the Tree Diagram Arc,we can assume the info of Anti-espers have been out for a long time and I highly doubt that data was deleted since the lab didn't explode, and it was probably extracted by Anti-skill but come on,Anti-skill is probably the most vulnerable force in the Academy City and anyone can break into their systems like any level 4 esper can just go in and slaughter them all because they have NO PLOT ARMOR and plus the Anti-esper device was given to a bunch of skillouts called Big spider?or black spider? but surely news would have travelled quick because students in Academy city would have been beaten up and later taken to the Anti-skill for interrogation and they would then have to tell them about the Anti-esper device and some spies would have known about it because people also keep track of the skillout groups, so what gives?Ok back to Characters,Estelle, good character I guess??Though I would not call necromancy an esper ability especially when she has to use talisman to execute her magic,Generally well-written characters,I will not spoil who comes out in this series but I just gave this a 5 because of the utilisation of these characters in the next season if it ever comes out.
Enjoyment:6
I gave this a 6 because there was too much action and rarely any interactions between Accelerator and Last Order,I wanted to see them communicate more often instead of "hey do this brat" and then a "No I dont wanna" I really would have loved to see some heartwarming communication between Last Order and Accelerator and spoiler alert,..............................skip this if you dont want to look at it.....When Accelerator was either going somewhere to fight or coming back,Last Order asked if he was going anywhere and he said no and she asked if he was gonna disappear(something like that) and he told her to go back to sleep. That was nice...............................................................................................................................................................Now back to what I was typing,I guess I do like the aftermath of the fights where it shows how much Accelerator learned after getting punched and shot in the face.Really nice.I gave this a 6 because like I said,I had a soft spot for Accelerator so I dont want to go in too deep, but I did enjoy the interactions between him and Last Order and it was entertaining to say the least, though that should be all I enjoyed.
Overall:7
Like I said earler,I did read the manga and I know whats gonna happen in season 2,so if the producers are reading this, please please please do not release that version of season 2,please change the storyline, you have a new series that does not follow the timeline so just go allout on this one, dont bother thinking about following railgun T because if you wanted to link it back, you would have to throw in scenes of Saten seeing the large figure appearing in a district and new reporters reporting on it and Last Order talking about how she missed Estelle in Railgun T when they had their appearance so yes you guys did mess up.Additionally,as I have said season 2 is so much more similar to Season 1 and does not have much interactions of Accelerator and Last Order but just Last Order showing concern for Accelerator and the plain old villains, not masterminds, just villains.I am giving them credit for the scenes which show Accelerator changes and communication between Last Order.
On a side note,do you know how Accelerator can finally defeat Touma?Just use his brand new pistol he got in Index 3!Because if you are observant, you can see him pointing at someone near the end of 3
