Even though the settings are different (LOGH is a space opera whereas KNK takes place in an alternative WW2 setting) both series can be described as epic political-military thrillers. They both involve a large cast of (mostly male and adult) characters that get involved in large-scale conflicts spanning several years. KNK features probably more battle/action scenes than LOGH but I'm sure if you liked one you'll enjoy the other.

Both shows feature a special unit of the police/government dealing with crime in a mature, gripping atmosphere. GITS SAC starts off being episodic whereas Hero Mask follows the same case from the start, but, without spoling anything, once the Laughing Man story kicks in in GITS both shows share a similar plotline (even though GITS has definitely a more sci-fi oriented setting). In any case, I'm sure you'll enjoy HM if you liked GITS and the other way around.

Both shows are gripping, mature thrillers that share a dark and serious tone. WHR has a stronger focus on dark fantasy elements whereas Hero Mask has a more down to Earth approach (although it does have some sci-fi elements too), but overall, if you are looking for a good mystery thriller with supernatural undertones both shows will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Both series deal with people (prisoners in the case of Hero Mask, orphans in the case of ZnT) undergoing special treatment/training to gain almost super human habilities. They both have a very similar approach to the subject matter, combining mind games and investigations with some truly thrilling action scenes. All in all, they share a similar feel and atmosphere, so I'm sure you'll like one if you liked the other.

Even though at first glance they seem to be pretty different shows (Mouryou no Hako has no action whatsoever and it's set in Japan in the 1940's, whereas Hero Mask is pretty heavy on action and it's set in a modern, alternate London), both series share some similarities that are worth mentioning: - Both series start with a member of the cast getting killed and focus heavily on the subsequent investigation - Both series get pretty talky halfway through, requiring the viewer's full attention in order not to miss any details - Both series share a similar dark, gripping atmosphere I'm pretty sure if you like one you'll like the other.

Both shows are superb mystery thrillers involving a full adult cast and some breath-taking action. Psycho Pass is way more sci-fi oriented than Hero Mask (which is set in a more recognisable present timeline, as oppossed to the more dystopian near future of P-P), however, both series are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. If you enjoyed one I'm sure you'll like the other.

Hero Mask

Both shows are superb adult mystery thrillers. Kaze no Youjinbou has a much more laid-back approach than Hero Mask, focusing much more on character interactions and exploring its rural Japan setting, whereas Hero Mask has a more direct, western feel to it (the action is more prevalent and it clearly has a much bigger budget). However, if you enjoy a gripping, superbly written mystery thriller I'm sure you'll like both

Both are superb adult mystery thrillers with a dash of sci-fi thrown in. Genocidal Organ's sci fi elements are probably more prevalent and more relevant to the plot than in Hero Mask but both share a similar mood/atmosphere where the characters (belonging to the military in G. O. and the Police in the case of Hero Mask) have to unravel a mystery. Both also have a healthy dose of kickass action so if you liked one I'm sure you'll enjoy the other

Both shows are adult mystery thrillers with a touch of sci-fi/fantasy. B: the Beginning does feel a bit more shonen-y than Hero Mask though (it does have more humor and super powered teenagers, after all), but I'm sure if you enjoyed the most serious/seinen bits of B you should love Hero Mask
