I seriously don't understand how this is praised as one of the best anime romance movies out there. Like other reviewers have said, I must've watched something completely different than those who gave this movie such a high score.
It's been honestly a few years since I've watched this movie but the amount of disappointment, resentment, and awe at how bad this movie is has stuck with me. The best way that I can describe this movie is that it tried so very hard to be like Your Name in the cinematic aspects as well as with character and direction, but failed so very hard.

put, I didn't care AT ALL about these characters. This movie made no effort in trying to make them likeable, relatable, realistic, or in any any to make me want to cheer for the characters. This movie felt like one cheap attempt to tug at my heartstrings after another.

It got to the point where I jokingly told the person I was watching the movie with that the main girl was gonna get stabbed or something as a last ditch attempt for this movie to try to get me to feel something and low and behold, it actually happened. I burst out laughing as I couldn't believe they actually did it. Truly comical.

I don't remember any of the music, sound design, or environments so nothing really to write home about in my opinion.
In the end, this was a borderline offensive movie with how cheap and fake it felt and I can't believe how much people praise this. There are so many other good films that are worth watching as opposed to this hot mess.
