This is a show that touches the border of being just good enough but sadly fails to break past it.
Let's talk about the positives first. The personality of the characters are interesting. They have dimensions added to them. They are selfish, maniacs, idiots and sometimes they even rise or at least try to rise to the situations presented to them. Simply speaking, they are sort of fun to watch. The opening tune and character designs are two other positives.
And now the problems. Yes, this is a parody anime but that doesn't excuse protagonist using hacks. Konosuba is another parody anime that makes its simplistic world

work through clever writing which seems to be largely absent here. Everything just works for the protagonist which is the parody point but still there should be a minimum mechanism for it. Most of the big fights do move the plot forward but the watchers will be moving through the fog and hit a wall eventually. The ending isn't really satisfactory.
All in all, it can be a fun watch. Some may even find it a 9/10 show. But using Konosuba as a standard, it does fail in writing, world building, overall comedic aspects. The starting few episodes propelled the expectations to a high altitude but the last few episodes lost the show gas, especially the last episode. Hopefully, season 2 will remedy the problems and go "higher" if there is a season 2 at all.
