I came into this knowing nothing of the manga. I also came fresh off of many other isekai and fantasy anime. Right off the bat, this show seemed unhinged in a glorious way that threw very bold notions out there. We've all seen perverted lead characters, but not only was this one on a different level, his character grew tremendously and continues growing and follow-up seasons. He's no longer just some panty sniffing horn ball, what is growing into a full-fledged hero with personality and character dynamics that rival the best we've ever seen in the genre.

This show has everything from comedy to drama ... to action to mystery and suspense. Every episode pulls you more into the story and more into the characters which are developed far beyond most anime could even care to attempt. If you haven't watched the show yet, get to it. What you see in the first couple episodes is not what you're going to be seeing at the end. Come take the ride and watch these characters grow.
