I'll start off by saying the best thing about this show is most definitely the art and I'm sure that's what entices half the people who are on the fence, to want to watch this show. But there's just something missing from this series as a whole. The best way I can describe it is that it just feels mundane. As a whole it's definitely a nice mellow series with the beautiful art and calm soothing sounds but there's just a huge gap that cannot be filled and that for me is the plot.
The plot is just so empty it makes watching this show feel

Boy you ain't ever seen a plot thicken like this plot did.
I'll start off this review by mentioning that while I do agree with the general consensus about this anime I have to disagree with some points as well. Of course, this anime has 2 main camps, the guys who thought it was brilliant and the others who simply couldn't fathom the pseudo philosophical theology essay that this series felt like at times and yet I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that while I was part of both camps at times, I'm gonna claim that this was the most brilliantly executed dystopian/thriller ... |
