*spoiler free review* This anime I was really looking forward to, but was unfortunately disappointed.
Maybe it was just me, but it was hard to keep track of which characters liked who and who knew about it. It also didn't make sense for some of them and some of the minor characters were extremely shallow.
The series started well with promise, but then got dull in the middle, then perked up again after I pushed through, but then disappointment in the ending. The ending's "who ends up with who" wasn't done well and we didn't get much in the way of closure

Don't think of this like a series, think of it as a movie. It's just over 1 1/2 hours if you include the special and don't watch all the intro/outro for every "episode".
But the episodes do break it up if you want to watch one episode at a time when you have a short break. I don't know if you'd consider it a spoiler because it happened in the first episode, but I was glad to see a more "adult, without being echii/hentai" take on the relationship. Sure they slept together, but it happens in real life. The story takes off ...

OK, so here's the thing. If you want to pick up the manga and read from where the anime ends to continue the story, then it's a great anime and an awesome introduction to the manga.
If you want to just watch the anime, be ready for a sudden and abrupt unsatisfying ending. A lot of the anime has you wonder what will happen and guessing at things, and then in the final episode, not only does it not answer any of your questions, it introduces a LOT of new plot to leave you with even more questions! It's just so odd that ... |
