Wake Up, Girls! and 22/7 are both idol anime obviously, both have good songs and characters that are in their youth. Both shows showcases the development of the characters and their idol group. Both shows have a management/organization that is a big influence to the groups and the story entirely. WUG is more realistic story-wise as it has a focus on the real life idol industry while 22/7 has a mysterious vibe.

The shows portray emotionally driven scenes and the story arcs are similarly built-up on few episodes.
