May your curious inclination, I wish a review announcement, I give this show an 8/10 for great
I found the reasons some may find off putting, such as realism for a slice of life, and of relateable-ness for that reason
but in contrast, I found the way this show was made, that I liked it for the fantasy narrative of a feel good vibe show
other shows have bullies or tests, poor grades, parent troubles, isolation, lack of progress, or other real life concerning stuff
My Darling Doll, focuses on a show for good vibes, kinda like some Persona 4 social links, it's in the scope of
...
anime realism
Real life dull, mundane, painful, abusive, and all among other things,
isn't it nice once in awhile to come across some form of media, that is wishful, hopeful, and magic fantasy of positivity
There are moments in real life, that don't feel real, but they do happen once in a awhile
My Darling Doll accomplishes this in a emphasis,
is it not tiresome sometimes to feel the constant burden of life
sometimes a feel good vibe anime, to get life feeling better and more on track, that hopeful feeling, restoring it, healing for optimism, is what's needed
it may not be the most realistic when it comes to the turn of events, coincidences and or, other various sequences of the show
but I don't think that's the focus that people should concern themselves with,
My Darling Doll, has the esque of dreams, and often, I put emphasis on this, real life is unforgiving and ruthless
so may their be a world of experience such as scenarios played out in the show, to feel some form of magic, that may never come in one's life due to timing, luck, and or, other various factors of misfortune
people lose themselves along the way, I'm sure we all know our own experiences of high school, self esteem and broken dreams
living some magic moments instead through a medium, which is what this show accomplishes, let art, music, tv shows like My Darling Doll make up for what has already happened and has been lost,
glimpse a flicker of hopeful light in this dark world.

so I read book 1, here are my thoughts
characters, fall under some pretty stereotypical tropes.
like the characters are alright, but pretty flat bread, the dynamic aspect of them, seems as though they are one line on a dimensional scale
we have main protag, and he can't lie cause he's too obvious, but than, the premise makes no sense when, he has to keep secrets,
but everyone is on the dumber scale apparently, so that's the catch, when he getting almost caught, dumbness saves him.
if main protag wasn't sold as being a dumb honest person, I think it would do justice for unsureness, which is
...
needed, the suspense in this manga is dry.
Although, I don't see much for story dynamics, evil newpaper girl that loves gossip, stirring up nonsense,
the deepness of issues seemed resolved almost instantly, which I don't find it helps the premise of keeping a secret. This occurs multiple times.
The build up and tension isn't there, so the secret doesn't feel as potent in impact to keep. So the comedy feels dry too, the punchline just whooshes before any actual crafting is made to claim it.
This book is okay enough to read, but it's like those radio songs into background you only accept as background music,
I can't see myself reading book 2. Like I am not taking a risk missing out on anything
that's why this manga gets 6/10, it's story writing was fair, integrated good aspects with main protag friends and his waifu, but the way the whole manga goes
feels like a scattered 1/3 fever dream that isn't unpleasant, but unmemorable when you wake up

Dear Death Note, the 3 episode death
Contains all spoilers episode 1-3, it's the start of the show, you basically get minor spoilers
Lets start off the show story, writing wise, is well done.
It's a premise of a book that can insta kill people cause a death god was bored, so he threw that kind of power for someone to discover the book. Deathnote it's called.
The show is a cat mouse, spy vs spy esque theme, of big brain 3000 out braining big brain 3000.
...
Art is alright, kinda basic.
Sound well done, it tries to set the tone with good subtle atmosphere and psychological influence.
Character : 2
This review is on the basis of this one very important point.
Dear Light. Light is the one to discover the book. Lets start off first, you know what's worse than dying to the death note.
Ryuk: holy, annoying and constantly interrupting, annoying Light to no end. shinigami(Ryuk) can not shut up for a second, maybe that's what the show shouldv'e been Light's decent to madness, would make the show more understandable.
This Ryuk guy is not comedy, he looks terrible, constantly pestering Light, making stupid comments all the time. Can't he give the book and stfu? He says he's just a spectator, hell no, he's like a mosquito at night, you trying to sleep but than it zzzzzzaps near your ears or whatever, except it's 24/7 for Light. Ryuk can't chill in his loser world alone.
This is Light's life now, the book isn't the problem, its damn Ryuk.
Now lets go to the main man Light. Light is a god complex, he is smart, superior in school but kind of a loner
Perfect brewing for his god complex narcissism that's validated by the external environment that reinforces that validation.
That's not the problem though, It's Light not doing/being right all the way through. He starts of his own premise fine; to kill the world of evil, potential evil, wrong doers lightly punished, unjustice to be balanced to righteousness. You can kinda see what he is aiming for, and doing good through evil. Like some twisted anti hero. He's nice to his family atleast, or it seems so.
But he pulls a 180 right off the bat, he wants to remove potential evil, and create a utopia, yet for a genius, fails into some LE MONKE brain way
he's 180 suddenly, doesn't even escalate his own madness just pulls a, 'oh if my fam discovers the book, I'd have to kill them' episode 2 8:20-9:00 time mark
dude seriously just doesn't bat an eye about his so called genius, can't even morally stand upon himself any consistency, can't even introspect himself
this fundamental weakness in Light, kinda just ruins the show. Light is a character I couldn't care for less now, considering he is so hypocritical and blind to his own injustice/justice
The show can go off it's tangent about who catches who. But Light, he ain't right that boi, he be trippin since day 1.
You'd think for the show Light would atleast have to fight his moral justice of using death as an instrument, but the show side dodges that to put more focus on the chase.
With that being said, Light trying to kill random cops to get off his tail, without evening questioning such an action, clearly shows Light is so narrow minded and blind, that you can scoff him off for nothing more than a paper cut out of a person.
A wrap up, L: He's just a hacker in among us essentially, sure the student claim was pretty good call out by basing hours, but to add on his other claims, major sus hacker.
Lets go over the so called claim, potentially Light is a student, but it wasn't verified, Light changes his motif, and L suddenly uses the so called student potential claim as validating evidence to conclude Light has police inside information. Time stamp, Episode 3 10:00 - 11:30
So wrap the triforce
we go
Self brain injury annoying Ryuk, Light the spaghet brain and L the 3333333 galaxy post fvtvre brain.
Hell no, show is a solid 5.5 or 6 at most.

Better than reading newspaper comics, but worse than over extended garfield comics
Komi manages to draw great comic strip pacing, at the expense of just dragging you along 80-90% filler before the joke occurs
Much of komi comedy stretches the punchline, I guess to make up for the mundaneness
Believable: not really, Komi is deemed "super god like" status among everyone, but somehow her shyness apparently managed to make her have zero friends except the starting pointing Todano, a pretty decent MC secondary.
This is very unlikely, Komi is a great shy person, and warm vibes, she wouldn't have trouble being approachable, even with her weakness "can't communicate"
So I
...
read volumes 1 and 2, and the additional characters are not that good. There pretty simplified, and used as staples when they are needed, doing the punchlines
If you have watched/read Saiki K, it's like Komi tries to have various tropes too, but just somehow manages to bland out everything.

I've had experienced and been both sides of this story, I was both personally bullied in my life and attempts to mend broken friendships.
This movie does it too flawlessly and carelessly that the events of the movie feel like a caricature.
The strings of fate are fare too convenient, and likewise, the resolutions too.
The characters in development, just don't feel realistic to me in basis of reflection.
Most of the moments were like this that played out, therefore it was rather painful and frustrating to proceed through as I watched in discord.
Artwork is 10/10, even little details are added that many studios seems
...
to miss such as extensions of personality are added.
Characters: Some characters are plausible, however the subject of both main characters doesn't feel natural, in their interactions of the entirety of the movie.
Motivations: One characters idea of reality, is their head of imagination in how this movie feels. Think of scenarios as they play out in your head, this movie does this too well, the amount of right happening vs the wrong is beyond believable. If the movie had done on few tweaks in the prologue on character archetypes, I'm sure I'd actually like this movie.
Sadly no, in conclusion, we get harshness, but mis-attributions on resolutions, to blindly accept this is impossible. Overall after how some events play out, the rest of the movie doesn't matter, as the initial building phases to create the rest of the world is already destroyed.
I'm still mad at this movie, so Imma have to drop my rating from 3, to a permanent 2
