Really similar psychological and spiritual themes, as well as prominent BL character relationships and power dynamics. If you liked one, you might be interested in the other. :)

There is a similar vibe of "partners" mixed in with sci-fi and/or fantasy elements. There is so a shared BL aspect in both shows :)

These shows both feature a slice of life where the main character grows up in the city, but spends time in rural Japan. The characters are really interesting in both, and relationships are touching and emotional. The main characters go through changes and evolve into better people by the end

While Girl Friends is significantly shorter, both stories focus on the cute relationships of feminine girls. Ano Kiss features a few different relationships and all are very romantic and really adorable. I would also say that both series are directed towards a more feminine audience.

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan

While the comedy is vastly different and Saiki K is episodic in nature, both anime do feature protagonists who are ESPers. Both are extremely funny and ridiculous, but Saiki K is more of a gag comedy that focuses on the silliness of the characters rather than the situations like in Mob Psycho. If you liked one, you're sure to like the other

Sakamoto desu ga?

Both are gag anime that rely heavily on the personalities of the characters. Not much happens in either, but they're both extremely funny and feature the same kind of humour, gag after gag. They're also both school anime, so classrooms and school situations are also prominent.

When watching Saiki K, I was immediately reminded of Sakamoto desu ga? because the humour is so similar. They both feature jokes and skits that involve the side characters who are for some reason obsessed with the protagonist. The antics of both shows are really silly and rather than labelling them as comedies, I'd say that they're both 'gag' anime.

Koi wa Ameagari no You ni

Both look at age gap relationships, but in a way that seems mature. They definitely give off a similar mystifying feeling, as well as youthful nostalgia. Kotonoha no Niwa is leaps better, but KoiAme can make you feel good things. The age gap is approached well in both, and isn't creepy or uncomfortable. The themes are also similar in exploring and finding careers and paths that fulfill the characters. I have a few qualms with KoiAme, mainly with the way that they achieve the path for our female minor MC, but is still treated with a relative amount of respect.

The humour is so similar. Both have ridiculous characters who play off each other really well, but also have serious storylines. The action is also reminiscent of Soul Eater
