It was actually a pretty weak story... and a lot of the 3d animation actually looked off... expensive, but off...
But, that said, the songs were a banger, and while as a whole, the movie's story felt weak, many of the individual scenes felt okay and if you watched the filler episodes leading up to the movie, then it's enjoyable, seeing Luffy and Uta reunite. They actually had good chemistry....
Like, after Luffy meets again with Uta, it's basically just event after event.... not much build up, not much characterization... very little dialogue...
The character introductions suck, the motivation feels weak and frankly, the conflict

While this starts out with promise, it ends up shooting itself in the foot.
It randomly adds Yokai and Human politics in a very half assed manner. It had an "almost break up" scene where they talk about how monsters and humans have very different ways of life when there is almost NO actual difference... It's like, randomly added half assed racism. The ending is stupid as well. ... Feb 11, 2022

While the art is nice, this is an overall pretty nice story, though it is kinda annoying.
The main character is super shy and can't confess her feelings for her crush. Honestly, at first, it was cute, but then it kinda got annoying. It was also annoying when the love interest boy acts like a coward when a girl shows OBVIOUS interest in him and yet denies it. And the ending is kinda rushed and not overall well done... but that's probably the case for lots of manga (endings are hard). It's kinda cute and has a happy ending, though it does get a bit ... Frankly, I feel that this anime doesn't even know what it wants to be. It seems to try being a slice of life fantasy, but it also tries to be an action fantasy, but failing at both.
Many of the scenes seem pretty good, but when put with the series as a whole, just doesn't feel that good. The art and animation is pretty good and I do like a lot of the character designs. The characters are also not very well done. The characters that are supposed to be cute seem so forced that it's more annoying than cute (it's like the animators tried ... Jun 22, 2017

Why do I like this story?
Because it's just different. And it is done so well. This story is a perfect merger of comedy and romance and echi in a way in which they perfectly mesh. It's a lot of things done really well though not the best at any element, but it mixes everything perfectly. It has decent romance, decent comedy, decent echi, decent fluff, decent light hearted cuteness, underwhelming drama, and decent pacing per chapter. But while each individual element is at best decent, they all compliment each other perfectly and are melded into something unique while having absolutely nothing original in it. ... Dec 26, 2016

The art is good, the fan service is great, the voice acting and sound is great.
But.... to be honest... if you don't follow the manga... well... I wouldn't recommend this. While each chapter for the manga was short, it did have a nicely paced development, but this one just takes a few moments of the manga and animates them. As a person who read the manga, this worked great, but it didn't feel great as a stand alone anime. As a reader of the manga, this added feel for the manga and helped me enjoy the series as a whole more. But it doesn't feel like an anime series ... Jun 22, 2016

Okay, it should be noted that I went into this anime from being a reader of the manga, so my view may be a little skewed.
Now for the good points: The art is actually pretty good, and the sounds are enjoyable, it has good music and over all decent voice acting, though I find it irritating that the CHILDREN sound like adults. It is annoying the fact that they aren't made to sound a little more immature and kiddie. Now the bad: -Most of the story seems to be filler. -They added too many original characters and moved in characters shown later in the series much earlier as ... Dec 31, 2013
The main character's name is Okida is an innocent and attractive house-wife who has a really good relationship with her husband to the point that even a few years later, they consider themselves newly-weds
at first, if you are a guy reading this story, you'd be jealous of the husband and want her for yourself Now the thing about her is that we could refer to her as Oku-san, which also means wife and the husband is called "Daa-san" which you could say was a shortened form of Danna-san (now this is all the could be and stuff), but the way this could go, you could easily ... This was an overall great manga: I'd rate it an 8.75 outta 10
The girls were cute, the characters funny. You can't help but want to cheer on Gorou(the little brother), who is in love with Haru (his elder sister who isn't related to him). There are some serious moments in this manga, but comedy is prevalent. The only complain I have about this manga is that it leaves you wanting more and makes you want to see how the little brother and older sister's relationship grows and how the fact that they aren't actually siblings and could have a relationship isn't addressed. This was a great manga that ... Oct 16, 2013
Overall, this was a nice story, The art is nice, the characters are lovable with a nice tsundere lead, the protagonist is a perverted idiot who wanted a harem but couldn't get one. The jealousy and twists and just a nice amount of comedy.
It was nice that it wasn't a harem, cause they do tend to be overdone, but it was a situation where a harem would be nice ----Spoiler that won't ruin the entire story, just one part---- In fact, the only problem I had with this story was that the protagonist actually had the chance to get the harem of his dreams, but the main ... |
