When I first read the synopsis I thought to myself "wow they did a lazy job with that", well I apologize because that is literally all that happens.
This is 30+ minutes of pure dialogue, I am a fan of dialogue don't get me wrong, but this was bad, slowly paced dialogue. The whole "split personality" element was a feature of this series that I never particularly liked, so 30 minutes of talking about it was certainly not entertaining for me.
The art is fantastic, for the first few minutes, then it's repetitive, yes the snow is beautiful and yes the characters look amazing, but so what,
...
make them do something, make them walk, eat, pet a cat, anything. Just because something looks good doesn't mean it is good.
The background music was stale and forgettable but they didn't have much choice as there was not an opportunity to really fit in background music due to the amount of dialogue, so it was very quiet for the most part.
The actual dialogue was well written and made perfect sense, but I simply didn't enjoy what was being discussed at all, obviously I can see how some would enjoy it if they were huge fans of the franchise (which I'm not).
My enjoyment is a definite 1/10, I was extremely bored to the point of having to pause every few minutes and take a break.
Unless you're a HUGE fan of this series, you will not like this.
1/10
Harsh yes, but nothing has ever left me so unsatisfied.

I'm going to start off by saying that I'm a picky rater of anime in MaL standards, and that I'm going to be covering the first two seasons briefly in order to explain this season.
Devoid of any heavy plot it's impossible to rate the "story", however I will rate how well the show was written, or the script. The show has many recurring jokes and character traits that they write in so well that you don't get the feeling that they're just putting it in because they feel obliged to, instead, cleverly written in at perfect times. The plot of each episode also does
...
a very good job of not being boring, sure not much might be happening, but it is never boring.
The art is fantastic for what the show is trying to portray, it has a very unique style that you can look at and know from your first glance that this is most likely a light hearted comedy. The soundtrack is not that memorable but the voice acting is fantastic. Every seasons Opening and Ending songs have also had a lot of effort and detail put into them and are what I would consider to be good.
The characters are what make this show one of my favourites, Yuru Yuri is an all female show with little to no men at all, this is a scenario that I am a huge fan of (like K-on!) because when there's men and women in a slice of life, there's usually drama, not in Yuru Yuri, there's not a second of drama in this show.
Each character has a unique interaction with each other and the script gives moments to each girl to have a chance to spend time with different friends. Lesbian undertones are a great change of pace as it's something I haven't seen elsewhere, the show features my favourite and one of the funniest tsunderes of all time as well.
It should also be stated that the show does not have one main character that it "follows" from their perspective, it rotates around the four main girls.
Now that that's out of the way I'll explain why I think Season 3 is the best season.
Season 1 and 2 do a great job setting the tone, developing the characters (thus adding rewatch value), establishing jokes, etc.
But Season 3 is where it all just clicks perfectly, it is the most enjoyable season by far and it is written under the assumption that you have already seen the first two seasons and therefore doesn't try to reintroduce the characters to you and all that, but instead it throws you right into what you loved about the previous seasons.
The popularity of this season is astonishing (19,000 members that have completed the show at the time of writing this), hopefully they have enough funds to make another season because I certainly haven't seen enough of this show yet.
My enjoyment is an easy 10/10, is the show perfect? no. is the show for everyone? absolutely not. But if you enjoyed the first two seasons, I unbelievably highly recommend that you watch this, you will not be disappointed.
9/10

It's very rare that I see an OVA that's better than the actual series, and of course you have to watch the source show prior.
The characters were all made use of in a really nice way, the story was interesting and at times just plain beautiful. The fan service is a little weird but that's it's charm, and I never felt like the fan service was mindless either. The art and sound are the same as the main show so it's hard to review it entirely.
There are a few more "taboo" scenes and moments and if you like that stuff then give this
...
a watch, you won't regret it
Overall it was a nice experience that left me feeling very pleasant.

VERY MILD SPOILER WARNING
At the very start of watching Guilty Crown, one thing was going through my mind.. And that was "I'd much rather be watching Code Geass". I had this anime dropped for several months due to the fact that I couldn't bring myself to watch it, I liked nothing about it. I later picked it back up to clean out my dropped list and I am somewhat glad that I did because the show certainly gets better after episode 14 or so.
Story - 4/10
The story was pretty standard and I didn't get engaged at all by it, the first half of the series
...
was so boring that as mentioned before I dropped the show. The second half of the series turns up the pace and actually becomes watchable. One thing the story does well is making you hate characters, which is why it's satisfying to see them die.
Art - 8/10
Art doesn't make an anime good, but it's always nice to look at and Guilty Crown does a great job setting atmosphere, with an ensemble of well drawn characters with unique designs (for the most part)
Sound - 8/10
Again like with the art, the soundtrack actually does a good job of presenting an atmosphere especially during battle scenes, nothing to write home about though.
Characters - 3/10
This... This is where the show became unwatchable, the worst part of this show was the bland characters, the unnecessary attitudes of some characters, the pure unlikeable heroes, the only good characters in this show were side characters. A lot of the drama of this show stems from poorly written characters being needlessly dramatic.
Inori is the poster girl of this show and you're MEANT to like her, but I was not given any reason to like her other than the fact she is well drawn, but that doesn't cut it for me, she had nothing going on for her except her voice acting.
Enjoyment - 3/10
If not for the heel turn in episode 15 or 16, I would've given this a 1/10
First half of the series: 2/10
Second half of the series: 8/10
Overall I would give it a 5/10
