This is the best mahou shojo anime I've ever seen. It does start off as a typical magical girl anime for the first two episodes, but the ending of episode 3 is what changes the overall tone of the series and bring in philosophical aspects. This show is one of the three masterpieces of anime. The character development is amazing, and the twists and turns are really awesome. The music suits the dark tone of the show and it gives me chills when it comes on. The animation is really good too. I enjoyed it very much. A solid 10/10.

Art is subjective and this is only my opinion. This is an absolute masterpiece, not just as an anime, it's one of the best stories I've ever seen. The philosophical and psychological aspects are amazingly well done. Johan Liebert is the best anime villain I've ever seen. He is so compelling, complicated and psychotic. I get that most people had a problem with the slow pacing but I enjoyed it very much. This is very reminiscent with the never ending battle between Batman and Joker, and I'm a big fan of Batman, so I loved seeing Kenzou Tenma keep his moral compass till the very
