ok this is my first revive
This anime had me from episode one, as someone who did not read the light novels I was vary glad for the explanations when they did different kinds of spells. Characters are already well developed in meany layers that keeps your attentions then other anime that might be base in the same Genres.

Story:7
Even though the story/plot has alot of depth to it, I began to feel there was to much going on and by the end I had more questions then I started with.

Art:9
... I love the art in this anime, they spells are flashy and explosive. The nominal seance are not down played Visually, however the art for example when they were dancing made me go ew did they get lazy and CG it.

Sound:10
All i can say is there was alot of attention to the sounds accompanying for every action.

Characters: 8
Hmmm... Miyuki a sister with a brother complex that leaves you face palming wile you try not to laugh. Tatsuya a brothers who can only feel emotion when its connected to his sister. If you have a problem with implied incest you might not want to watch Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. Even with the comic relief of sibling love that borders on funny, there is lot of character depth in this show that slowly peels it layers away as the show goes on.just for the record my favorite character is Erika.

there is a good amount of fan service in this anime that dose not over shadow the action and vary base of the anime AE the magic. I really enjoyed this anime and when/if there's a season 2 I will be watching it for sure.

Overall: 8
I gave this anime an 8 because there are some things that annoy me but not enough to dissuade any one form watching the one. I really enjoy having an action based anime not bomb on the plot with being over flashy or go way over the top on fan service.
