Have you ever thought of your fav comfort food ? A sort of hot drink with a loaf of butter cookie? That’s what this anime made me think of. Firstly, it brought up a lot of nostalgia since it reminded a lot of kimi ni todoke but still with a more of a comfy touch. All characters are so authentic and special reflecting different issues that all teenagers and even adults went through. Besides the set , color palette and animation everything is soft and put you in such a zen mood. I just love it so much and l recommend it to all. Such ... a comfortable type of slice of life that if you’re going through a hard time or day this anime could be an escape for you !

I honestly don't know what to say or think about this anime. In the beginning, it started with this fantastic story that will catch your eye as shinpei the main protagonist, went back to his homeland and found out that he lost his best friend/crush in a mysterious condition. l mean the 9 first episodes are an eye-catcher you will discover more about the shadows and what's Haine's purpose etc. However, what l noticed further with the plot progress is that the pace was too slow to a point where you will get super bored watching the rest of the episodes and to be true, ... 25 episodes were too long for such a story, they did exaggerate in action and motion to a point where it made the show lose its value. Regardless, of the average animation, slow character development, and music the show was a disappointment for me especially with the final which literally made it seem like a shojo romantic show. Furthermore, between ep 24 and ep 25 there's a gap that we couldn't understand, no further explanations, or was it "a dream" like really??

l won't say that this show is not recommended, you can watch it so you evaluate it yourself but honestly, l didn't expect such a slow pace and stupid ending.
