The bad:
First whole hour of the movie was terrible. Just repeated comic relief after every serious moment. A ton of flashbacks to a tragic cliché backstory of a kid making a promise to marry a girl he liked. Animation quality insane in some scenes and lack luster in others (MAPPA style is typically high quality in still shots, but mid tier animation). There is a particular scene where the MC hears the villain's plan massacre tons of people leading MC to respond completely unfazed. This story is very repetitive and boring to be straight with you. The female lead constantly flirts with the boy and he's confused on whether she likes him or not when she clearly only acts like that around him. She goes as far as to share drinks, get up close, and even bite his ear and he continues to be this dense character.
The chapters follow a common procedure. Girl teases guy, guy gets embarrassed, and then a large frame of the girl making a flirty smile with sparkles all around. The same scenario occurs EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER. Their character design is extremely empty, with ...

The entire AoT series is an incredibly written and produced anime, but this final season I feel does not cut it with the CGI.
I read that MAPPA requested more time to perfect the anime, but the release was pushed forward my publishers. MAPPA is a good producer, but the animation quality of season 3 was perfection. If possible, the 2D animation style of WIT should have remained and been emulated. The CGI makes things look cheap and loses the dramatic effect that was implemented in previous seasons.
