Megalobox is based of Ashita no Joe but is much shorter and very different despite having similar characters. The twos particularly are quite different with Yabuki Joe being a sociopathic scumbag at the very start and Gearless Joe being a much better and more determined guy

Both have the protagonist end up in prison for a crime they committed. But they head in different directions and despite this, they both still explore similar themes and have amazingly written protagonists.
