Calling this a comedy would be the best joke in the entire show....
Story about OP MC that's only supposed to be OP alone, but the story does great job ignoring this fact completely, leading to the biggest disappointment at n1 :
Comedy - most of the "comedic situations" revolves around our OP MC being OP and casually clearing strong monsters, etc...with the punchline being his honestly nice and cute, but annoying and nosy class rep-friend giving him shit for doing anything mildly dangerous, or like any good mother, leaving house w/o permission or coming back late (yes those are real examples). Good news, we have KageJitsu at home...its called "Whatever is this called" Its not bad, obviously it being action comedy with goofy premise its not good either, but jokes are ok, girls are cute, mc isnt complete idiot and its not cringy (iirc). IMO its a decent pick for watching while you eat so far, but who knows if its still the same at ep 7 im prolly out xDD ___ Not a spoiler: the last ep surprised me with how brutal that crazy ...

If you can stomach the naive MC (its not that bad tbh, he seems to have some idea) then I would suggest waiting if next season drops.
The audio-visual is great, and its not rly boring per se, it just have pacing of 20+ep anime. Sadly it only has 12ep right now and we got some proper action and villain intro just now at ep 9. Hence the recommendation to wait for next season, unless you wanna see 4 action episodes, followed by cliff hanger and wait 2 years to continue. Over all its pretty good and who did their homework and checked what else the author ...

I am a sucker for revenge story, but the GCI rly hurts my eyes, but then the MC is competent...
Action 1/5 The action is lacking, theres basically none since all he does is say Paralyze and Poison. Char design 3.5/5 Elf (elves) is cute, and goddess mommy is exactly that. Animation 1/5 I cant give it 0 as its doable even for me who hates most CGI, so if you dont mind it you can give it a try Story 2/5 Classic revenge story in isekai ...

If I were to rate only episodes 1,2,7,8 this would be 8/10, but for some reason someone decided to throw away budget for another 4 (lower budget) episodes with filler. And the last episode went unreasonably hard on animation.
So you get 2 episodes of story, 4 episodes of shounen filler (training, zenitsu beying annoying af, ppls faces melting with emotions,..) and then you get over the top epic finale with insane amount of slow-mo flex. This season could have easily be a movie or 4ep OVA and I would be happy, instead I dropped it half way thru and just now finished it, surprised it ...

Possibly the best into into this universe (no it doesnt matter, but all the stories of this author have very similar vibe).
So far the funniest, and most consistent story from the author. I might be biased cause as much as I enjoy Lookism, the fact that drama/comedy/SoL/satire on society turned into handsome teen boys with questionable powers leading life and fighting said organized crime did not make me very happy. This story on the other hand is very straightforward action comedy about a guy who curses his high school bully into reliving his high school days from the body of the loser. FFS EDIT: One think I notice is ppl seem to not realize that this lvl of animation would be probably the top we would get if this show should continue to air. S1 was the classic sauce ad, while S2 is what 1000ep sauce "shounen" adaptation could look like at best IMO. Not everything is JK or KnY to be carried by stellar animation. Since I did not enjoy my time, like @XG_OG promised, in his bold prediction about 9 upcoming episodes... I wanna warn you all! xD Given the authors other works from which I only watched part of one before getting bored, I expected pretty much what I got so far...an interesting mysterious story, thats mainly focused on the MMC+FMC relationship with some action. I just dont like the exeution: Char design/animation is pretty good, there is plenty of action and over all the show will probably not offend less critical or experienced consumer. Issue for me ...

I see some ppl confused about the plot, as someone who read most of the sauce I decided to write one myself.
BTW...Yes its sauce is manhwa but comparing it to Solo lvling, is similar stretch as comparing Tokyo ghoul to Tensura (cuz manga). Its by the same author as Lookism which is/was one of the most popular webtoons, and was sadly botched by its anime adaptation, just like Returner magic (its sad only mid mainstream shat like SL and God of HS got quality adaptation, while bein just mainstream mid) Ranting aside... This story istn about streaming, its a story about this goofy guy who starts ...

Animation 8, Char design 8, Plot 6.5, Execution 8 If you noticed the avalanche of bad anime with unreasonably good audio-visual lately (Nanatsuma, Ishura, etc) and were sad stuff with good source like Returner's magic, or silly but entertaining Villainess Level 99 are getting screwed on animation then THIS ONE MIGHT SURPRISE YOU! We got MC that already stands above most other OP "new life" MCs just by doin what we would all expect, training and developing his skills!
