I wanted to write a review because I noticed there are none from anyone who has read the whole manga.
I read it all in pretty much one sitting since it's relatively short. It's very lighthearted so it was an easy read, and it's also extremely funny. I found myself actually laughing out loud at several points, and most of the humour comes from the fl, Mio, being an old man at heart (with her penchant for picking her nose and ears, being a slob, having a passion for horse races and very eccentric to the point you have to wonder if she isn't actually
...
the reincarnation of an old man) in the body of a cute girl. She's so different from most shoujo fl in the sense that she's not even the "not like other girls" type, she's in a league of her own.
The chemistry between Mio and her teacher is also very good, they fit in very well, and the romance was done tastefully given that obviously, it's a teacher/student romance so you have to keep that in mind. If you're put off by the subject I'd suggest skipping it, however, like I said it stays quite innocent all throughout. There's also no alternative love interest, in fact, the manga turns the whole second male lead trope on its head in a fun way.
There were a few elements I wasn't particularly fond of, for instance MIo is super funny but she also comes across as simple-minded, which tbh in my opinion wasn't needed. Her being so uncouth and eccentric was funny enough even if she had been super smart.
The art is also beautiful.
I gave it a 7 overall; the romance was cute and I laughed a lot so I would definitely recommend it.

I read all the chapters that were translated, but I know there are more and that the manga is over, so I hope someone picks it up and translates the rest.
The main character is a witch named Misa Kuroi, the same witch of the original Eko Eko Azarak. Except in this incarnation, she's a much nicer and more benevolent figure, with an arc and backstory of her own (the original Misa was... not nice. She was funny in her deadpan delivery of horrendous things and ending chapters ohohohing after wreaking havoc, but she was vicious). Most chapters are self-contained stories, but there are arcs and
...
an overarching narrative, which kept things interesting. It's modern, so it deals with technology and its impact on humanity quite a bit, which I thought was quite interesting.
The art is also absolutely stunning, from Misa to the demons and the magic, it all looks very detailed. I would definitely recommend it, and I hope I get to read the ending.

Some time ago I started watching the anime adaptation of this, but somehow it didn't land. I don't know whether I just wasn't in the mood or what, but I wrote it off as uninteresting. Years passed, and I thought to give it another go; well, it totally won my heart. I like age-gap stories quite a bit, and this is a lovely, mature, and perhaps slightly bittersweet take on it.
The main characters are all very well fleshed out, with their own struggles and motivations. Their interactions and building relationships never feel unnatural, and most of all, they're likeable which isn't necessarily a given.
I
...
would recommend this to anyone who enjoys age-gape romance but wants to read about a more down-to-earth approach. I would also recommend reading the manga rather than watching the anime, not because the anime is bad, but because the adaptation is incomplete and it has an anime og ending, which while it isn't necessarily bad, takes something away from the way the mangaka wrote the story.

Oh boy. I thought I would enjoy this a lot more. The premise was so up my alley; age gap, he's her bodyguard and a gangster... What could possibly go wrong, right? Well, it's more or less your regular high school shoujo. Like he's older, but you'd never guess because not only he goes to school with her, but he's involved in the school stuff too, and also acts like a high school boy.
Towards the last few chapters that have been translated, it seems like some gangster plot is building up, which is the only reason I gave it a 6, but otherwise, it
...
has nothing that makes it stand out. Also, the art is beautiful, so I guess props are due for that.
Give it a try, but keep in mind you won't see anything new if, like me, you've read many shoujo already.

This manga starts out with an interesting premise, I'd say somewhat similar to MP100, which I found quite intriguing. That said, it was mostly mindless entertainment, until around about halfway through the story when characters connected to a bigger plot started popping up, and I'm not gonna lie, it got straight to my heart as it was quite touching. It also got far more interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens now. The weird fanservice also slows down, which makes it better.
I initially gave it a 6, until that one arc which I talked about above, and now definitely deserves a 7. Read
...
it. It's not the best manga you'll ever pick up, but it's fairly good, and some of the art for the spirits and ghosts is pretty great.

I gave it a 7, but it would be more like a 6.5. Why? Well, the story and the art are good- especially the art is just stunning, and I love vampires and steampunk so very much. If you love these as well, chances are you'll be attracted by this manga, too. However, there are a bunch of things that keep it from, in my opinion, reaching its full potential. Spoilers ahead:
For starters, there's a reason why most stories have a trio rather than a duo. It's just far more dynamic when the people interacting are 3. Vanitas and Noé are good main characters, but
...
I kept on thinking that if there was a girl in that duo to shake things up a bit and stop them from bickering with each other all the time, it would have been better. The anime did well in cutting some of that bickering, which while it can be fun, it can also get tiring when it goes on for so many panels.
The point about adding a girl to the main trio brings me to my second criticism. The female characters are not necessarily badly written, but they're all romantic interests to the main characters. Now, I do like romance! And I'm all for mangaka who discard the trend of no romance being canon until the very end. But in this manga, the female characters start off as love interests, rather than the other way round i.e. being introduced as their own character, and *then* becoming a love interest. Again, having a main female character who isn't a love interest would have somewhat lessened this criticism. I honestly wish they kept the girl Vanitas cured at the very start and have her join the two main characters since she was forbidden from going home anyway. Unconvinced? Read the mangaka's previous work, Pandora Hearts, and see what I mean. It has a trio and a bunch of female characters who aren't meant as love interests, and it's more interesting that way.
The humour doesn't always land either. I'm a massive fan of Gintama, so I don't get mood whiplash when a story suddenly switches its tone, but chibi humour veering on the cute side doesn't work the same way as humour which pokes fun at how outrageous a situation is. This might be more of a personal issue though, as comedy is very subjective. However, given how heartbreaking some of these characters' backstories are, it's sometimes quite noticeable.
Last but not least, while the lore is incredibly enticing and might in fact be my favourite part, there are so many things which are muddled, which frankly shouldn't be after 57 chapters, aside from those things which are obviously kept as mysteries as they will unfold later on.
Overall I'm glad I'm reading and will catch up when/if further chapters are released. However, I'm still waiting for that one vampire steampunk story which hits all the right notes.

(contains some spoilers)
This could be retitled Misery: the manga. And I don't necessarily mean it in a bad way at all, it's just that it's quite the miserable story. I read it in 2 days, I couldn't get away from it. I love K-dramas so I guess this is my dominion. If you like K-dramas too, I guess you'd enjoy this.
Like I said in my first paragraph, the story is pretty grim and realistic. Two couples are struggling to keep their marriages intact. They're not having sex with their spouses and their intimacy is lacking in all ways. There's quite a bit of cheating, lying
...
and a lot of heartache. I'm curious to see where the story will go from now (I read all the available 57 chapters), and I hope it's not to a happy ending because these things cannot possibly end well so far the sake of keeping up with realism, this story shouldn't either.
Most of the characters are relatable, albeit they are very flawed and will do your head in at times. The art is ok, very shoujo like and a bit generic but it's pleasant to the eye.
I give it a 7 overall. Am I actually enjoying it? It's complicated. And I probably need to read something lighter after this experience, nevertheless I would recommend.
