Moonlight Flowers is one of the oldest Yuri manga out there, and it's a shame that it has been largely forgotten. As someone who has read well over a thousand Yuri/Shoujo Ai manga I can honestly say that this is easily one of the top 10 in the genre.

Story: 9
The story is fairly simple: a woman is forced into an arranged marriage by her parents, and is neglected and ignored by her husband, and one of her old classmates, also a woman, rescues her from her relationship and frees her from her lackluster, depressing existence. It contains strong feminist themes, and I would urge anyone ... looking for a light and fluffy story to avoid this, as it is both dark and depressing, if slightly melodramatic at times.

Art: 8
Not much to say here. It all depends on whether you like modern moe art or older, more gothic art. It was beautifully drawn but if dark and Gothic artwork is not your thing then you probably would not like it.

Character: 8
The story is too short to have very well-rounded and developed characters, but the author does a wonderful job nevertheless. All characters are multi-faceted and rounded, with no "evil" or even "bad" characters present, just flawed ordinary people.

Enjoyment 10:
I'm addicted to Yuri/dark drama so this is basically my wet dream.

Overall:
An excellent manga if you want to FEEL, but not if you want to just kick back and relax.
