cute,lighthearted and funny.that's how i'll describe usagi drop,a 11 episode 2011 anime made by one of my favorite studios production ig.
a friend of mine recommended it to me saying that it was similar to wolf childrens. i will never be able to thank him enough for introducing this to me.
anyways enough talking about my life and let's jump into the review :
story:8
the story is rather simple : a guy named daikichi takes in a girl named rin , the rest of the anime is about daikichi raising rin,it's episodic with some slow plot progression.
it's pretty predictable but enjoyable nonetheless since i recommend you switch

your brain off while watching this.
now i don't wanna spoil but the last episode left me a bit unsatisfyed and i think that they could've pulled off a better finale.
art/animation:8
nothing groundbreaking but not annoying.the animators did a great job and i liked how the animation changed after the opening.
it didn't affect my enjoyement in any way but i cannot think of any other artstyle suiting the show better.
sound:8
i loved the opening , it had a nice vibe to put me on the perfect mood to watch the anime,the ending is fine.
the ost used is also great.
character:8
i liked every character except one that i cannot mention because it's somewhat important in the story.
the interactions between the kids are cute and also the adults are mature when they need to and funny when they need to.nothing felt very forced here.

ok here is the best part about the show,like i mentionned earlier even a dumb person can understand what is going on so the charm is not on the story or how complicated it is but on you sitting down and seiing the characters as they grow up.
if you are going to watch usagi drop expecting some mindblowing plot twists or well tought flashbacks or even tear-jerking scenes then you should probably go somewhere else.this is only for persons who can enjoy an anime with no real story and the daily lives of characters that won't change his life(even tho this is what happens on every anime unless it's a super charismatic guy that you will love thing that you don't see very often)

it was a pretty nice watch,i recommend you to watch it with someone else (preferably a person of the opposite gender).
as for me i guess that i will have to wait for another season even tho i'm sure it will never be released so the only choice left for me is to read the manga.
