It's a long shot, but I get the same feeling from both - perhaps the seinen quality. Different stories. Different focus. Same strange hearty humor, somewhat obscenely hilarious in BotR, somewhat childishly charming for Solanin.

a shared theme of death with a balance of humor. bonus is that they're both pretty friggin awesome manga.

they remind me of each other. a kid, the world, ups and downs, a bad guy. dororo's bit more of an epic tale, as opposed the majora's ten chapters though.

Dokuro-chan seems more extreme in it's humor and parodyishness. Potemayo has the same feel, a bit more loving, and is just more adorable and innocent.

Tough guy + crazy cute girl = "how did i get into this?!" From what i remember, Hot Milk is more on the old school/ecchi side, but hey - I'm not complaining.
