Minor Spoiler Towards the end of the review, it would not affect your watching experience.
2022 has a lot of great Anime to offer, but only one Anime can be the "Anime of the Year." Some say it must be blue lock, spy x family, chainsaw man, etc. While I see why any of the Anime I mentioned are excellent candidates for the title, neither deserved the award. You see, Bocchi the Rock! is one of a kind. It's the type of Anime that overthrows the most hype Anime, chainsaw man. At first, I thought Chainsawman would have the title of "Anime of the Year" due
...
to the attention it's getting and the hype around it, and suddenly, Bocchi the Rock aired and overthrew all the candidates out the window. Bocchi the Rock might look like a carbon copy of K-On! At first, but once you watch it, you will realize that while they share some similarities, It's not on the same level.
Bocchi the Rock! talks about the journey of a band called "Kessoku," which works hard to become a successful band. It shows the hardship they must go through and, most importantly, they practice hard to achieve the results they hope for. One of the reasons Bocchi the Rock! is so captivating is the main cast of the series, namely Hitori Gotou, Kita, Nijika, and Ryo. Hitori Gotou, A.K.A Bocchi (The main protagonist and the most relatable out of all the characters.), is a shy person who tries hard to change herself and become a better person. She started playing guitar because she saw a band member on TV saying that even an introvert can shine in a band, and she's the type of person who dreams of becoming popular someday. She is also the lead guitarist in the band. Kita is an extrovert who gives a good vibe in the band and is a direct disciple of Bocchi; She is the vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the band. Nijika is the leader and drummer of the band. Ryo is the introverted type of person, born into a wealthy family but constantly broke due to overspending on instruments and always borrowing money from Bocchi (Hitori Gotou). She is the bassist of the band. The combination of these four persons and their interaction is refreshing and relaxing. So if you like K-On! and want to watch a better version of it, you will love this Anime much better. Of course, it's just my opinion, and while I'm at it, I think Bocchi the Rock! deserves the title of "Anime of the Year" as it shows how a peak combination of music, comedy, slice of life, and cagdct (Cute Anime Girls Doing Cute Things) genre should look like.
PS: All of the characters are precious and lovable, including the side characters, especially the kessoku band members, and there's really nothing bad I can say about this Anime aside from not having a second season yet. Peak Anime of the Year, at least for me.

I'm 5 years late to review this Masterpiece and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of great reviews out there, but I want to add my personal touch/review for this anime cause I'm gonna regret not to share how wonderful this anime was.
Story: The story started by introducing the 5 main heroine of the anime. A group of friends who promise to each other of making their own anime in the future, they thought that everything will go smoothly as what they planned but reality is not kind enough to make this happened, they sooner realized how life can be so cruel. As the story
...
progress, our 5 main heroines started to question themselves of what do they really want to do in they're life, and whether they will be able to accomplish their goals/dreams in life or not.
Art: The art is just so perfect. Everything is beautiful.
Sound: All the opening/ending songs and OST are either will get you hype ,bring peace in your life, or melt your heart cause all of the songs are wholesome.
Character: Each character has their own personal growth and all of them are lovable.
Enjoyment: All of the episode brings happiness to me while watching them. All of them are interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Overall: Shirobako is one of the Masterpiece/best Slice of life anime out there. It is just so good not to give it a chance, and I'm definitely gonna rewatch this Anime multiple times in the future. Now I'm just gonna wait for Shirobako movie, I hope they release it in my country so I can watch it on fan screening for some shirobako freebies <3

Disclaimer, this review is purely base on the anime alone. I have never seen nor read its source material before.
So you come and see the summary of the anime. you found the summary and the genre quite interesting. Now you might be thinking to yourself whether this anime is worth giving a shot or not? well then, my fellow anime fans, let me help you decide by giving some of my hindsight about this anime.
The story starts surprisingly good and interesting, no unecessary dialogue or whatever you want to call it. rentarou a promoter/civil offficer and enju a initiator/curse children, the main character of
...
this anime. Together they eredicate the gastrea/infected person to protect the citizens of japan. As the story continues, rentarou will soon realize the truth behind the gastrea, how corrupted the humans are(always has been, for the most part), how hypocryte the goverment(always has been, for the most part) and the citizens they are trying to protect towards the curse children(the only hope they have, aside from rentarou) to eredicate the gastrea virus.
Sound: The Music(both the OP & ED) and OST are really amazing.
Art & Animation: I personally find it great and enticing.
My point of view about the anime: Every episodes of the anime were entertaining and will make you crave for more. I like how logical/realistic the main characters think, there's no hidden plot armor in terms of strength/power our mc have. The character are all loveable and not annoying except for one side antagonists. The character development is surprisingly good, despite the fact that it's moving on an incredible fast pace. Which leads me to discuss the major downfall of the anime, its pacing per arc. The anime is moving on an incredible fast pace, most of the times i felt that the emotions that it want to convey to its viewer is getting nullify due to its pacing. The story felt rushed, like it just want to reached the end. nonetheless i still find this anime enjoyable, I literally watch this anime within the day i started it.
Overall: In my honest opinion, the anime is really great. It's been so long since I last experience, where in I'm really excited to click the next episode to see how the story progress. I have seen hundreds of anime already, yet i really think that this is one of the best I've seen so far. Before I end this review, I want to remind my fellow anime fans out there that we have different taste in anime, some of you might agree with me and some of you might, not which is totally fine. I just want to set this as a reminder to "RESPECT" other opinions, cause I see a lot of fellow anime fans out there who disrespects others for they're taste of anime and to my surprise the only reason for this is because it's not to they're liking which is really disgusting and uncivilized. Lastly, always remember that most of us watch a particular anime to have fun/celebrate, relax, and momentarily escaped reality.
PS: Before watching this anime make sure to prepare your heart/emotions and a lot of tissues at your disposal. Have fun and enjoy!

Disclaimer: This review might contain some minor spoilers, but rest assured that it won't affect your experience upon deciding to watch this Anime.
Story: At start there's really nothing much going on, aside from the fact that our four main characters form a guild named Gourmet Guild with a goal of discovering all the delicious food that they can find, I know it sounds like toriko and shokugeki no soma? right? while it might be a little off topic considering the synopsis of the anime which recovering the loss memories of yuuki(our MC) while doing expedition. I can pretty say that it did a
...
pretty decent job doing the side quest of the story aside from focusing entirely on the solving the mystery about yuuki's loss memories which becomes a good build up and foundation in order to reach its conclusion for season 1.
Art: Oh boi the art is so beatiful. its like an upscale from the game itself.
Sound: The OST are great. The OP and ED are also good but not that great.
Character: I love every characters in this Anime, the four main characters have different traits with each other but they when it comes to food they all sync up. It is also worth mentioning that the character development is done properly, I like the twist at the last two episode about yuuki and pecorine.
Enjoyment: I enjoy this Anime a lot, i have a lot of laughs while watching this Anime.
Overall: I recommend this Anime if you're looking for a light hearted, comedy, and a little bit action type of Anime otherwise its also perfect for those who just want to watch a good anime while waiting for a new seasons of the anime to come out. Lastly don't put too much expectations that the season 1 will wrap up the entire plot of the Anime itself as i really think that this is just a prologue of the main story and only used for building up the characters, before diving too much in depth around the main plot of the Anime.

DISCLAIMER! Everything written on this review is my personal opinion only as an Anime watcher(I haven't read the light novel yet).
Story: Just like the 2 prequel of Date A Live the plot didn't change in this new season. The story of this new season is cut into three major parts. The first part is all about a new spirit which shall not be name for spoiler sake aside from her ability "copy cat"(which is not the actual name of her angel), the second part is all about Origami's past and present circumstances, and lastly about Shido's spirit power and his relationship with other
...
spirits as well how they view him specially for Tohka.
Art: The art is beautiful. It really lives up to it's expectation as Waifu Anime.
Sound: The OP&ED song are beautiful. The OST use some episode is also amazing specially the orchestral part.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed it a lot. I really love Date A Live franchise and as Anime Lover and watcher for a long time. I can really say that this one still holds a very special place in my heart despite the feeling that JC staff butcher this adaption and feels kinda rush i still love it.
Overall: There might be a lot of hate for date a live due to it's poor adaptation but for me who haven't seen the light novel itself I must say that it's good to see Date A Live getting a season III and soon a Season IV. Lastly I just wanna mention that you might see this as a generic anime that have a lot of cliche moments and i also admit it myself, but i don't know how to explain it except that this Anime is really Special(At least for me and it won't change just because of others telling me that it's not good). Gotta enjoy what you love after all! :D

I just finished watching this movie and can finally said that i completed watching the K-On franchise. First off i wanna say that this review might contain some minor spoilers, which i assure you that it won't affect your experience upon watching the movie. With that said this review will be using the standard myanimelist review which consist of 6 parts such as Story, Art, Sound, Character, Enjoyment, and Overall.
Story: The timeline of the movie takes place between Season 2 of K-On! episode 23-24) and Episode 27(which is considered as special episode 3 for season 2 of K-On! or K-On!! series). While watching
...
the movie it makes me remember the song they performed for Azusa(Assuming that you finished watching season 2 before watching this movie, then you probably know what i'm talking about) which i can pretty say that it gives me a lot of feels(by the way the major plot of the movie aside from they're vacation is how they composed the song they performed as a parting gift for Azusa in episode 24). It just reminds me that graduation doesn't mean goodbye but it just means that from now on the path that we will be taking won't be easy as before, that's why it's okay to cry for now but don't forget to move on and always remember that were friends regardless what path we will be taking from now on(such a cliche way of putting it but yeah this is how i feel while watching the movie).
Art: The Art is so beautiful, i really have no words how to describe it. I'm pretty sure KyoAni put every effort they can put in while making this movie to give us viewers the best experience we can have while watching the movie and I can pretty much say that this Anime Movie definitely deserved the "Best Anime Film" award given to it back in 2012.
Sound: There are 3 to 4 new songs i heard while watching the movie(some of the new songs are soundtracks and not necessarily mean that they performed it, but the voice behind those songs were definitely HTT"Houkago Tea Time").
Characters: There are no new Characters introduced in the Movie(Assuming that you watch all the OVA and Special episodes of K-On! and K-On!! or K-On Franchise).
Enjoyment: I enjoy this movie a lot. While watching the movie it makes me grin, laugh, and almost cry like a kid and it's been a long time since i felt this type of feelings while watching a Anime or regular movies. It just makes me realize how much K-On Franchise become part of my life(I know it's really dramatic but hey i really felt this while watching the movie). It also makes me realize that this movie is the last installment of K-On franchise and after this i must move on while cherishing the lessons i learned from K-On Franchise.
Overall: Do i recommend this to you and other weebs out there? OFCOURSE it's a big "YES"(Given that you watched all K-On!,K-On!!,OVA, and Special Episodes). Also i just wanna say that there's a short sequel manga(technically) where it shows how's the life of our main characters now after they graduated from high school and now a college student(except for Azusa as it only tells the story of Mio,Yui,Ritsu, and Mugi) titled K-On! College. Lastly i want to thank you for reading my long and emotional review( at least for me, please don't remind me how embarrassing it is hahahaha) and hope you also enjoy watching this Anime movie as much as i enjoyed it.
( I LOVE K-On FRANCHISE <3).

K-On!!: Ura-on!! is basically just an extra content similar to K-On!: Ura-on! but by no means it's not a sequel to it(both just share the same premise). this can be watched after season 1 (for knowing who are the characters involve in each episodes) and before season 2 or after season 2 if that's what you prefer(it won't affect your experience by any means so in any order as long as you finished season 1).
Story: Random stuff per episode which consist 2-3 random stories describing what's on the mind of our main characters.
Art: same art as K-On! Ura-on!
Sound: The outro is rockish and
...
sounds pretty good.
Character: There's no new character introduced in the story.
Enjoyment: for a extra content this is pretty good.
Overall: If you want to take a short break before starting season 2 or if you finished season 2 you can go ahead and watch this before watching the movie for a much better experience.

K-On!: Ura-on! is basically just an extra content. this can be watched after season 1(for knowing who are the characters involve in each episodes).
Story: Random Stuff. Basically there's no story, just imagine a child(who is able to talk) telling you a story about random things.
Art: The art is basically a Doodle drawing. Imagine a kid(a 3-5 years old kid) draws the story for fun or as a homework.
Sound: I like the Outro sound track at the end of each episodes.
Character: Houkago Tea Time, Sawa-chan, ui hirasawa&friends
...
Enjoyment: for a short and extra content, it's relaxing and enjoyable.
Overall: Good for taking short breaks before watching K-ON!!

K-ON!! is a direct sequel from K-On!(which i'm pretty sure you already know, but nah i just want to say it anyway).
Story: The plot is pretty much the same as season 1, our main character goes to the club room -> drink tea -> Practice(in some episode) -> Do cute things(most of the time). What makes season 2 more enjoyable compared from its predecessor is the story each episode itself. In this season we will get to know a lot of new things about our main characters. It will also show the perspective of each individual characters(such as what are they thinking and thoughts during
...
each episodes which is true for Azusa). As the story progresses the main plot of the story will also be given an highlight and will serve its purpose until it reach the end of season 2(which is the final season of K-ON).
Art: The art feels much better compared to season 1.
Sound: A lot of new songs would be introduced in this season and all of them are great and beautiful.
Character: There will be new characters in this season, which will play a minor role in the story but will play a major part around the lives of our main characters. The character development of each characters each episodes was also great, where in they learn to face they're fears and try new stuffs.
Enjoyment: I really really really enjoy this Anime a lot. In fact I love this Anime a lot <3
Overall: I have no words to add aside from a fact that this anime is a lot better compared to other mainstream and popular Anime i have ever seen in my life. Well yeah there might not be superpowers, harem, romance, supernatural(you name those stuffs) involve in the story of K-ON and the plot might not be interesting compared to other Anime. But hey the story itself each episode was enough already to make you fall in love for this Anime. I really think that this Anime is "MASTERPIECE" Specially true if we rank all the Anime in a slice of life category.

Story: The OVA is a little bit different from the usual episodes of K-ON, where they just usually hang out in the club room -> drink tea -> do cute things. This episode portrayed how Houkago Tea Time realize that the world of music is vast and there are a lot of bands out there who clearly have a lot of experience compared to them and already set of goal for they're band.
Art: The art is similar to season 1 of Anime which is really great.
Sound: No new song was introduce in this OVA.
Character: There are a lot of minor characters appeared on this
...
OVA. The character development for each member of Houkago Tea Time was also good.
Enjoyment: For a stand alone OVA, i really enjoy this a lot.
Overall: if you want to watch this OVA then watch this before starting season 2. There's a high chance that you might forget watching this OVA if you start watching season 2, as season 2 and its OVA was a lot better compared to this OVA(live house, At least for me).
