honestly, this is my personal opinion.
(SPOILER ALERT!!!!)
But it gets boring when its predictable, like for e.g I know you're the main character, so you're telling me that you can somehow manage to beat the best team just by practicising a few months. Then the coach is practically useless(the MC is the one who decides most of the plays). The coach only conducted like one or 2 of the training sessions and his input in games is next to negligible. Not to mention, somehow we have the teammates missing a lot of balls at the start of the game (against yokahama little but then somehow
...
as the game passes, it makes no mention of their plays and they somehow get better? where's the consistency??They improve within the span of a game? but when they play against another team it shows that they haven't improved??? What kind of logic is this. )The MC is simple, he beats every single team out there, he learnt how to do a curve ball by the coach in the first few episodes? but does not use it again in the subsequent episodes, the only mention is that he knows only"fastballs". They are teaching bad values too, honestly what kind of dumbass would continue playing a game when your shoulder is at risk of being damaged, just go recruit new players. And you still want to be a pro? Are you serious?
Then let me go on to the family relationships. The anime is too fast-paced, one episode the mom died, the next episode is 2 years later and the dad begins searching for a new partner....you really don't feel anything when the dad died, you also don't feel anything when the mom died, because they died in a few episodes. Then the fact that the female mom and dad replaced each other after what felt like one or two episodes, when their partner died.
Then the fact is that somehow his dad is blamed(by yokahama little coach) for failing to avoid a deadball to his head by gibson, saying the player should have the ability to avoid a deadball. Excuse me it could be in his blindspot? The logic is ridiculous.
