Netflix has been rushing out a stream of anime and that's how this anime seems: rushed. The dub is quite awful and takes away from the mood of the story, especially the lead researcher Isazu Kyousuke who sounds like he has a mouth full of spit. Subbed is definitely the way to go for this particular anime.
As for the story itself it starts off slow and confusing. In the last episodes when the truth about Aico is revealed it becomes even more difficult to grasp the concept. If you're into human eating matter that was caused by humanity itself than this is the anime

for you. The opening theme song is one of the few things that kept me watching this anime, but overall I'd give it a 7/10 because the character development was somewhat decent and I wanted to learn the truth about Aico Tachibana.

Fight for the salvation of humanity or destroy it all? The only two beings who can decide the fate of the Earth are Ichiro Inuyashiki and Hiro Shishigami. MAPPA Animation Studios succeeds in bringing the action-packed manga written by Hiroya Oku to life. After being crash landed by aliens, Hiro and Inuyashiki are transformed into superhuman robots with special abilities. They have super-hearing and super-strength, as well as the ability to hack into any technological device. Hiro, uses his powers for malice and intends to rid the Earth of humans. Inuyashiki, on the other hand, aspires to save humanity.
Inuyashiki is definitely one of the

top anime of 2017. With a catchy opening and ending, it entertains viewers from beginning to end, and although sad and emotional at times, the story is well developed. The main characters are opposites of one another in both age and ambitions, but successfully balance each other out. The supporting characters are somber despite greatly influencing the heroines’ actions.
Nonetheless, Inuyashiki provides explicit visual content. Gore and nudity are very prominent within all eleven, 24 minute episodes. Profanity is commonly used as well to express characters emotions and feelings. Watching this anime with friends who enjoy supernatural occurrences is highly recommended. Discussing theories with like minded people is the most appropriate course of action, fore this anime isn’t something to watch whilst eating popcorn with family members.
Overall, Inuyashiki is a four and a half out of five stars. The ending can somewhat be predicted, but only within the last episode, yet it still remains suspenseful. Each episode is visually appealing and keeps viewers coming back for more. For those who watched as it was airing, the week long wait was worth it!

Netflix deployed an intriguing detective anime co-produced with Production I.G. studios late last week. Although not as deceptive and puzzling as the hit mystery series Monster, it successfully brings out the detective in all of its viewers. The crime scenes take place in an advanced modern society where the royal police force’s RIS department is strung on the set of Killer B murders. Unable to track down the suspect, they bring in renowned detective Keith Flick, who retired several years ago due to unfortunate circumstances. However, now that he’s back, the situation slowly increases as Keith eases closer and closer to the connection between Killer

B and the murderer of his sister.
The series starts off slow and can be quite confusing. It takes until the third episode for things to clear up, but the whole concept can’t be fully grasped until the second to last episode. Koku, a violinist craftsmen, has an interesting background and special ability. He sets out to find his childhood friend, Yuna, and discovers that she isn’t the only one who has changed. In order to reach her, he sets out to defeat the Market Maker terrorist group, only to learn that someone else has different plans for him. After an intense battle, Koku teams up with an unlikely alliance and works with him in order to find where Yuna is being held.
Despite the rocky start, the ending was well worth it. It was surprising, but somehow already predicted. The final scene also suggests that B: The Beginning will receive a second season with new characters and mysteries. Overall I’d give it 8 out of 10 stars because the animation was smooth and the overall storyline kept the anime interesting. The OST, or original soundtrack, was also pleasant, despite not having a proper anime opening that runs for a minute and thirty seconds. Hopefully, the second season will contribute a good impact to the series and keep Keith, as well as viewers, solving puzzling mysteries.

Netflix kicks off 2018 with an exciting and heartbreaking new anime produced by Misaka Yuasa. Devilman: Crybaby is loosely based off the 1970’s manga by Go Nagai. It sets a scene in a world where demons and humans struggle to coexist. Akira Fudo, a below average high school student, is possessed by Amon, a demon. Akira transforms into a devilman, a demon with a human heart. With the help of his friend Ryo, Akira deals with his new body and attempts to rid the world of demons. However, he soon learns that Ryo, and the world, is not as innocent as they seem.
Devilman: Crybaby
...
does not disappoint and gives viewers what other animes will not: An uncensored version of what a corrupt world looks like. From parties where few return home and the survivors have superhuman abilities, Netflix develops the main characters well, despite having only 10, twenty-three minute episodes. Although the disappearance of some characters is unclear, easter eggs are there to fill in who’s missing.
However, this anime is not for the faint-hearted. The animation provides a graphic story with more than enough gore and sex to fulfill one’s desire. As a person who has seen the series twice, it is definitely NOT a family friendly show. As a matter of fact, watching at night with the door shut is the most appropriate way to watch Devilman: Crybaby. The dark room best captivates the anime’s flow and animation style.
Overall, the anime is a four out of five stars. Character development is spectacularly, and provides more than enough information to viewers. The end of the story can not be predicted and is actually a surprise. If a viewer can manage to get past the gore and lust portrayed in Devilman: Crybaby, it is a must watch for 2018!
