You get about what you expect. A comedy about girls from fantasy world isekaing into our world and becoming chubby because of our unhealthy food. The show is a pretty mixed bag in terms of comedy and probably the worst I've seen in regards to animation (obviously low budget with some of it being laughably bad). If you like chubby girls, you'll probably like this show. If not, there is a chance you'll still like it, but it'll more than likely be a pass.

Regarding comedy, for every hit of a joke, there is a joke that misses or is just too predictable. I ...

Probably the most baffling fever-dream film I have watched in quite some time. Although this is canonically the earliest Slayers content in the timeline to my knowledge, if you are even remotely interested in the Slayers franchise DO NOT start with this film as it will give a bad first impression. (Ironic as I first found out about the franchise due to a clip from this film.)

The visuals and animation look good, essentially the series with more of a budget. The soundtrack is nothing notable, but does what it needs to for the fantasy setting. However, the story's pacing is just terrible. It's honestly hard ...

If you want a medieval fantasy that feels like it was ripped right from a D&D campaign with serious and comedic moments in all, I'd recommend the show. It's a nice story that has good pacing and a nice OST to back it up. It's not a show you are going remember for too long after finishing it, but it's more so just a show to get cozy with and wind down for a bit. So yeah, a good show to watch if you just want something to chill out to with a D&D campaign feel to it.

If I was to give one complaint (more ...

If you want to see a bodacious booby focused ecchi ova, you might enjoy this. Otherwise you can pass this knowing you didn't miss much. It doesn't do anything so bad I disliked it, but nothing too notable where it was positive or would stick with me.

Basically guy likes girl but does something pervy, he tries to resolve it, but then because of crush's younger sister also liking him she ruins it and crush is upset. Rinse and repeat a couple times with a mixup or two and that's the OVA. It's fine, but gets repetitive and dull with deadpan humor. At least they acknowledge ...

High recommendation for this film! One of the more adult oriented Ghibli movies and a good one at that! Great animation and great visuals with a nice story and message. If you like the old Japanese setting packed full of folk lore and spiritual stuff, you'll have a good time with this! And even if it is new to you, I think you'll still enjoy it just as much! No real complaints about the film. A little slow in the start, but it's mostly to ease you in and get a feel for the setting. Also, put your seat belts on because it goes from ...

After watching this film I'd HIGHLY recommend watching it, as this one blew all the other Ghibli films I've seen so far out of the water and would definitely give it a perfect 10/10. While watching the Ghibli films, I have often left the films thinking that they were alright, but lacked in one aspect or another such a plot that lacks progression or an abrupt ending. However, with this film I just left thinking this is one of the best movies I've seen in years.

The art, music, and animation are great in this film just like all the other Ghibli films I've seen; but ...

I watched the dub as a kid, and now watching it again with subs during my Ghibli binge, I'd recommend watching it. Really I'd say this is just a 6 "fine" film due to the plot in the second half feeling a bit lacking in plot (probably due to not having a strong antagonist/threat). However, the color pencil and watercolor paint settings give this film an extra point for me since it blew the other Ghibli films I've seen so far out of the water with this distinct and beautiful style. Still love the art in the other films, but this one definitely stands out ...

Easy recommendation if you are a fan of slice of life anime with a pinch of fantasy! As someone who didn't care much for Totoro, I was happily surprised with this film! I didn't care for Totoro due to it lacking a plot and instead feeling like things just happen. However, in Kiki there are many bite-sized scenes/events that all connect and build upon each other naturally (except for maybe the very end) that help in making a story that keeps the viewer interested at all times. Additionally, it's got the music and visuals of any other Ghibli movie, but I appreciated the focus on ...

As a young adult watching this movie for the first time, I would say this movie is the definition of a perfectly fine movie. Nothing bad about it, but nothing really amazing. It's as slice of life as a movie can get with a few fantasy moments thrown in. The music is good and the art is great as to be expected, but nothing really stood out to me besides Totoro's cute design. If you are learning Japanese, I would recommend this film since it uses basic Japanese for most of the film thanks to it being a slice of life kids film. Otherwise, you ...

After watching the film, I'd recommend it! I've decided to watch the Ghibli movies since I hear so much about them, so I thought I'd start with the first one. It is a nice story with fun characters and a great soundtrack! I'm not sure if it was the music in combination with the story or what, but I did feel pretty emotional and choked up a couple times.

I was a bit worried I wasn't going to enjoy the movie at first because the beginning felt a bit slow and didn't hook me in too much, but soon enough I was having a fun time ...
