I must say I enjoyed this show.
A lot of dark themes that will put some people off, but if you can get past it, it's a very good watch.
The story is focused on a goblin slayer who does exactly that, slay goblins.
He is a high ranking adventurer and is known for none other than slaying "weak & lowly goblins" his fellow guild members look down on him because they feel he is undeserving of his title for simply killing goblins.
Eventually, he forms a party with your generic RPG/ Fantasy characters - a priestess, a dwarf, an elf etc.
It's stressed throughout the show that the
...
goblin slayer is no "hero that will save the world", he kills goblins.
I like this premise as it turns the standard fantasy storyline on its head.
The ending was satisfying, Goblin slayer gets some good character development, by learning to trust in others with people trusting in him.
I give this show an 8/10.
Pros:
-Likeable characters
-Good character development (focusing on the main character here)
-Good storyline (A lot of fantasy cliches, but it veers from traditional methods)
Cons:
-The main character himself is animated in CG (looked pretty bad at times)
-Not much character development for the others (I didn't even know the names of the supporting characters)
-Some disturbing scenes in the opening episodes
