The show does a surprisingly good job of showing the emotions of first love, something anime often glosses over. It approaches the themes from a fairly mature perspective including insecurity, doubt, and sex along with the excitement of finding the one for the first time. The main couple, Runa and Ryuto are charming together. Some of these themes may not be appreciated by the younger crowd but for the more mature viewers who remember their first love it's a satisfying watch.
Most romance anime shows portray a watered down version of romance and first love as though written by someone yet to actually experience it

A very entertaining show with good characters. It also is markedly better visually than many anime when it comes to monsters and fight scenes. It sets Hajime and Yue up as the main couple and they are great together but is heading into harem territory. I don't mind harem if it becomes a true harem. Most are more like fan clubs than actual harems so we'll see. If you are not a harem fan then this might not be for you. Admittedly the show gets better as it goes along and the second half of the season is stronger than the first half. Still worth

A great romance style show with highly likeable characters which are far too few in anime.
Marin is a breath of fresh air in the anime arena with her deredere personality. She and Wakana compliment each other perfectly. She helps bring him out of his shell while he acts as a grounding influence for her impulsive personality. They both respect and accept each other for who they are. At it's heart, this is the central theme of the show, accepting people as is rather than judging them. The relationship between Marin and Wakana makes it that much better. It's nice to see an anime that has appeal ...

A well written and enjoyable story with very likeable characters. Sadly characters who are actually likeable are few and far between when it comes to anime. Also the actual writing tends to be somewhat lacking too often, this was above average. I admit I'm a romantic at heart and this one fits the bill. I mostly stay away from shows that are pg13 or lower as I'm not in that target audience and they generally don't interest me, this was an exception.
A relaxed and chill story that is a nice change of pace from drama. I'd like to see their story continued. I've seen ... |
