This retells the story starting from before the deletion of the first D-mail (two-thirds of the anime).
It differs from the original story by adding more backstory for Kurisu and Faris, adds a conection between them and between their fathers. It makes (partially) sense of the behavior of Nakabachi before the story. For the rest, the scenario is identical right to the end, and completes the character development for Kurisu (and Faris).
It's great, even just for reliving the Steins;gate story. The quality is on par with the original, even if this added backstory adds unnecessary relations (Hashida's mother, who looks just like Suzuha...)

An added half-season 2.5 in one long episode for Konosuba. The same thing but with even more explosions. If you liked the anime watch it. If you think it was meh, watch it for Megumin (best girl).
Animation is the same but because there is a lot of "superior magic" instead of standard combat, it was far above your average episode. The jokes are on par with the rest, but I think it was funnier here. I like how they developed more the Destroyer's creator and Megumin, but the rest of the team isn't developed at all. They still have a problem with character development : I ... Dec 15, 2023

You need to have seen other generic isekais before because this is a parody of the genre. Here, there are no messages, no great speeches, no ideas, nothing of this sort. Instead, you'll find fanservice, lewd humour and immature gags. For S1 and S2 and the OVAs: Konosuba is very light-hearted and with nearly no stakes at all because of the literal deus ex machina. It's an anime where no one dies. Moreover, the evil guys aren't really evil, and when they suddenly become so, it's not as impactful. Meanwhile, all the good guys have a tremendous explosion resistance. The protagonists are ... Nov 8, 2023
This episode is a light-hearted filler for the rest of the series. It is a temporary charming and fun change from the usual tone in the series, that is much needed.
Indeed, you should (if you could) watch ONLY just after episode 13 : Before it will spoil you, and after it will be too outdated for the scenario. There is little character development but it's nice and laid-back and can perfectly fit in the rest of the series (but only at this particular point !) The art is identical to the rest and the story doesn't break the bigger scenario. There are references to the ... |
