the main character teaches the other main character about something they are passionate about. in sk8 infinity, it's skating whereas in given, its music. sk8 infinity is more focused on the skating whereas given is more focused on the character relationships than the music while the music still plays a huge role. the character dynamic between the two main characters is very similar with one being more softspoken (like a lost puppy) and the other outgoing and reactive.
