Being the most recent anime I've completed, I must say, it was amazing.
Before I watched the series, I honestly expected it to be just another shonen ai with pretty art.
Yeah, I was wrong.
It was a crucible of tension between the lead characters, and the responsibility of saving Area No. 6 was a heart-breaking feat for the person at hand.
I fell IN LOVE the characters, (unf, NEZUMI,) and the show kept me gripped at all points. I was never bored with an episode.
And, the art... oh my goodness. Wonderful.

I'm surprised that more people haven't read this series.
I read it several years ago after receiving the two books as a present, and I can assure you: it was the best series I've ever read, considering how short it was. The characters and panels were beautifully created and portrayed throughout the novels, and though they were over-emotive at times, I love every minute of it. Sure, this type of manga isn't right for everyone, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Jan 15, 2012

Being one of the first animes I really got into, Fullmetal Alchemist really impressed me. Not only did it capture my attention and entertain me thoroughly, but it really attached me to the majority of the characters, and kept me coming back every week to see the next episode.
Even the minor characters, specifically Fletcher Tringham, really got me emotionally involved with the show. And not to mention the art, which was BEAUTIFUL in all scenes, action and not. I also enjoyed how all of the characters were created so differently in appearance, belief, and action. Overall, Fullmetal Alchemist is a series I find ... Jan 15, 2012
Being a native English speaker/reader, I was extremely disappointed when the American Tokyopop branch seized producing manga, and the main reason being that I couldn't complete the Loveless series.
I started reading it a couple years after production started, and I instantly fell in love with the characters, plot, and story line. And to this day, I am in love with the series. The characters were mysterious and charming, and the plot had a lot of depth and twists as the volumes went on. I've tried reading it online, but it's just not the same, and I haven't found many sites that offer an easy way ... |
