I adore Evangelion. I absolutely love the series and EoE, so of course I have to watch the Rebuilds, but at the moment I'm not particularly enthused. The animation is better, yes, especially in some particular scenes, but I can't help feeling that this particular film is a bit pointless. I know the next three films will diverge from the original slightly and this film does what it sets out to do, and I enjoyed it, but I doubt I'll ever watch it again.
