Both manga made me cry, it might make you cry too. The main girls are misunderstood in the beginning, but at the end they have good friends, and of course, is dating the popular boy in their class. Both are cheesy, and mushy, so warning. Unless you like that... Please try both, they are both very good! Especially in the beginning.

Sometimes life sucks. And sometimes, when your lucky, you might be able to find a manga that shows you a bit of that life. Of course, there's still some good moment, and some bad. While the plots of both manga has nothing alike, I feel like I'm almost there with them. Both manga has that boy, who would have never guessed they would fall in love with someone. The art is simple, but in a good way, because I feel it fits the best in these stories. While Bokura Ga ita might be labeled as a shoujo, I feel they both have a josei kind of feel. There could be more small similarities in both manga, but I'm already boring you. What is there not to like? Try it if you love those tear jerking, bitter love, sweet moments, kind of manga.

You might not see the similarities in the beginning, and even though there are definitely more differences than similarities, I had to recommend this because of my love of both manga. First, I hardly ever read shounen manga, so these manga either have an amazing plot, or just really funny. Both manga have both these traits. Both the main protagonist life seems to be going no where. Until they both meet a girl that essentially motivates them to do what they're good at. Sun Ken? Fighting. Slam Dunk? Basketball. Friendship, courage, strength, love, and motivation are big parts of both the stories. And of course, the AMAZING plot and comedy. Don't get me wrong. The plot in both stories are completely different.

While we mostly think monsters are considered ugly, in both these manga, monsters are portrayed as cute, stylish, and mostly opposite of scary. The heroines have a lot in common. They are both witches, and both has a werewolf they love. Another thing to mention. both heroines are innocent. Which is perfectly fine for these sparkly shoujo manga. I think this is already too late to mention, but the setting is mostly the same. A world where monsters live. Cute? Very much so.

The similarities in both manga might not be that noticeable in the beginning, and even though there are more differences than there are similarities, I feel like it still makes sense to make a recommendation, just to share these amazing manga. Both heroines are like ugly ducklings. They grow to be a beautiful swan one day though. The main character's... What are they called? Boyfriend, their opposite character? The boy they fall in love with? (I hope you understand what I mean) Are very cool, and very funny. And both manga has their own supporting characters who the main character always hangs out with. Their own group of supportive friends. Both manga are sweet, and very innocent. Also, they're both finished, so yeah, definitely try them out if you're interested in love triangles, innocent love, and some very funny moments.

Tears, Teamwork, and Lies. Both these manga includes a group of people who are put together for a reason. Do they know what's happening? Not really, but they'll figure it out. Both manga are like puzzles, because the pieces fit together at the end. 2 thumbs up for both.

The style are very similar. You can also see that both has a "mature" feel to it. Both heroine tries and solve a mystery that just seems to unravel more and more. Unrequited love? Sort of. If you like the sadness, but sometimes very sweet moments kind of manga, you should definitely read this

Love, betrayal, and a lot of tears. Both might start off slow, but the minute it gets good, it stays that way. When you start reading, it'll be hard to stop. The main characters both have a similar problem, where they fall in love with the popular boy, but because of something tragic, it ends. And if it can't get any more similar, they start something with their ex's (THAT popular boy) best friend. Amazing story, and I recommend it for anyone who's up for a crying session.

Love Triangle and Fantasy. Lets not forget that even though they're small, they transform into this beautiful older version of themselves. Both main characters are sweet and naive, and of course, they each have two guys to protect her. Both are slow reads, and mild romance. Very cute!
