while the artsyle and soundtrack are some of the finest i have ever seen in the handful of anime series i have watched, and having its enjoyable moments, i really wish i could give this anime AT LEAST a 6, but it just falls short for 2 major reasons: Story and Characters.

First off, i hardly remember the characters names until i came to this shows page to add it to my list. there was nothing special about these characters, they were all very basic archetypes we see in plenty of other generic anime shows. this includes the typical main character who has to have ... the longish brown or black hair who is just an 'average high school student' like we have seen many many times before, but then for convenience he is given a special power that only he can use and he is going to save the world or something like that. Then we have our main female who acts emotionless the entire show and then later has feelings for our main character here, she is really much a bootleg version of the character Rei from the evangelion tv show and movies. then we have the expected high school friends, the character who loves main character, and a bitchy girl which is something they refer to as a "tsundere". thats about all i remember for characters.

Now we move on to the plot of this show, without reading a summary, the only thing i can tell you is that a kid gets some power to take weapons out of people? and that there is some war between 2 factions, it is really a knockoff of Code Geass which is a way better show anyways. you can check out the synopsis for this show, but honestly it comes with many plot holes and confusion, it was very forgettable and unremarkable.

After giving you my opinions on the story and characters, i shall tell you about the enjoyment value of this show, even with the bland characters and uninteresting story, i still found the show to have at times some really great moments, mainly in the action, and the first episode especially which is what led me to watching the whole show, the few moments i do remember typically had to do with all the fighting and action that happened, and the only reason i remember all of that is because of what i am going to talk about next.

The artwork and the soundtrack are fantastic here, such a shame they went to waste with a show that had so much potential to be a memorable series. All the music is still pretty remembered in my head, and is for sure some of the best music you will find in anime, along with its artwork, the one thing that really kept me watching was to see the beautiful animation fitted with a stellar soundtrack.

Overall i can tell you that you are better off to watch Code Geass or the Evangelion series as they are much better shows that involve mech robots and high school kids.
